Well the whole Diaz fiasco was a waste as he ended up joining some Mexican club.... Our attention has turned to Sergio Araujo, currently plays for La Liga side Las Palmas. On a side note its nice and refreshing to see the yellow and black jersey again used on a somewhat more usual basis. If we win Jimenez will be the only manager in 9 years to win their first game in charge, he already holds the title of this stat having beaten Aris 4-0 away when he was first in charge, all the other managers either drew or lost their first game.

Jimenez's first game in charge, not sure how long he will have to train with the team but hopefully it will be a fresh start for the team and the players give 100% to impress. Almeida was pretty good imo vs Panaitolikos IMO, some decent shots and did well for his goal. The problem is the middle, who do you start? For me Johansson needs to be there full stop, that leaves 1 more position, Im not a fan of 4-3-3 as that means we play no dekari and we have more dekari's then wingers so that makes no sense. So who plays next to the Swede is the question for me. Simoes? Has been very average like I already stated I dont feel his head is in the right place, I have a feeling he wants to leave, I dont see the fight and push I seen last year, from what I understand he has been asked to shoot more, maybe thats why we are seeing a different Simoes, he has picked up last few games but overall has been a dissapointment. Adjarevic? from what I understood he was a dekari but has only been played in midfield in the 4-3-3, do we have room for him in 4-2-3-1? I dont know what his best position is or even his natural one, from what I've seen so far he hasnt brought anything extra, having said that the whole team has been under performing. Galanopoulos? The kid has been a breath of fresh air, never stops running and has 2 goals already. The thing I like most about Gala is his passion, he knows what it means to play for AEK, similar to Aravidis, we dont have many of these players unfortunately. I feel he deserves to start going by his form, he was dropped when he was on fire to make way for the new Adjarevic which is understandable but that doesnt seem to have worked as we all have hoped. I think its safe to say Didac will be back at LB with the Spanish alliance he will have with Jimenez.

We beat Partizan away from home today to go 2nd in the group, im not 100% sure but I think we are guaranteed a place in the next stage, we play the final game vs 2nd last team Stelmet next Wednesday!

Who knows what happened behind the scenes, maybe he did not want to come back, if an offer was put on the table, maybe we wont ever. We have Jimenez now, lets hope he can save our season, or whats left of it, maybe win the cup again

He won us our first piece of silverware in a decade or so with an average AEK, I believe this AEK is better than the one he had in 10/11 so hopefully it works out. It's not a permanent solution as only until the end of the season, at this point of the season it could have been a lot worse like I said.

To be honest Manuel Jimenez is not the worst choice, its only until the end of the season with an option of extending for a further 1. I would have preferred Dellas but I was expecting a lot worse.

I'd take him, considering its the middle of the season and anybody thats foreign and decent is most likely attached to a club. His record with us overall albeit first 2 seasons in the lower divisions was pretty good - games: 84, wins: 63, draws: 12, losses: 9, goals for: 193, goals against: 55, win % = 75 His record in the SL with us was 7 games, 4 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses. His record with Atromitos was 29 games, 13 wins, 8 draws and 8 losses.

He got enough time, it was clear the players had no interest in playing or fighting for him. No more axristous please for the love of everything that is holy, we need someone with some pedigree, someone the players will give their all for. Who is decent that is available?

Im devastated Galanopoulos who was on the come up and was getting better with each game has been dropped for this Swede Adjarevic who has not shown much yet. Still early days but somewhat annoying. All we can say after that is at least we didnt lose and drop further out of play offs which seems to be the goal from now on. I wonder how much longer Morais will get, personally I dont think we should change now half way through the season u leaa we get a top quality coach as a replacement, otherwise no point on kicking him out only to replace him with another nobody, wait until the Summer.
