We are trying for Bruno Zachoulini on loan from Manchester City. He's a central midfield like Johanson, Simoes, Cordero, and Mantalos. Considering we play with 3 central mids, Cordero is always, and Anakoglou is not in Poyets plans, this would be a very smart deal if we signed him. We can't last the entire season with 3.5 midfielders for 3 spots, so a cheap depth signing for a pretty good player like this is smart. Let's see if they actually close the deal.

Yup, they ripped Jeep off for 2 million euros for that one season I read. Unbelievable amount of income brought in. And they charged 200 euros for season tickets last year in the middle of a crisis. Saving money is not an excuse for this team anymore. It comes down to stinginess.

PAE AEK made a huge amount of profit the past two seasons through OPAP sponsorships and TV deals. The OPAP sponsorships especially covered all of the costs. There is NO REASON not to spend 500k euros now on players to guarantee we make 7 million euros in bonuses from playing in the one Champions League qualifying round.

Without players we are going to finish 5th in the playoffs because we have no quality depth. Our players will be tired and we will have to start playing qualifiers in the beginning of July. We need players, just because we are out of the title race doesn't mean we shouldn't sign players. We still need players if we want to win the cup.

Oh yeah and they'll make Milovanovic the scapegoat and fire him like they did to Lyberopoulos. I'm absolutely disgusted by Melissanidis and our non existant doikisi.

If they don't sign 2 players that Poyet asked for then he's gone come the end of the season, and we'd need to start over with a new coach, new philosophy, and needing a major squad overhaul, all in one summer where we need to qualify for Europe. They royally F***ed up, they won't sign anyone.

I agree, I don't think they made an offer. They're not going to sign anyone again, we will manage to finish second in the regular season but because our roster is so thin we are going to finish 5th after the playoffs. And we can forget about the Cup too. We don't have enough top end talent and don't have enough depth. Poyet is going to win as many games as possible with this defensive formation to build his resume up and leave this off season because of the lack of budget, and I don't blame him. No ambition from Tigrako.

Orlando Sa is in Israel signing with Maccabi Tel Aviv. They offered 10,000 more euros to Reading than us, and about 100,000 euros more to the player. Cheapness again.

I disagree guys, I personally didn't see any use for Diego in this match. Around the 70th minute it would have been nice to put on another midfielder to control the ball but we had none. Putting on Diego was a liability at the time considering we had to defend, thankfully it worked out well.
