If ERT World comes back to Canada don't expect to see the "really version"More likely those who will buy the rights to it will be either Soundview Ethnic Channel Group LTD or that Duffis Malka who owns Odyssey and probably show up on Fibe TV as they seem to add any ethnic service approved at some point?

Although I can't comment on whats going on in Greece as I don't really follow the things happening their. But for Skai, I can't comment on the internet version, but the one on Fibe TV I can tell you when it first appeared the TV logo said Skai not sure if this was the "really Skai" or NGTV version?Most of the commercials where from New York City, a few where from Toronto and some where in Greek lettering(don't read Greek) so I'm not sure where they where from. Then some time later(not sure when) the TV logo switched to NGTV. Now the funnest part about this is we get both NGTV & Star International on Fibe which I sub to for my mother. Do don't really watch the channels so can't say whats on. The only 2 I don't sub to is 4E(I'm not religious) Sports+(not really into sports) But sub to all the others. I'm not sure whats going to happen with all this Hopla and every thing only time will tell. I can't comment on the US but here in Canada at least on Fibe TV if they re-aline the channels the way Fibe has them set(assuming the put them all in the 2000's(there room for at least 4 or 5 more channel placements, whether they get to filled is anyone\s guess but either then ERT World I'm not sure what other Greek channels could show up?

Out of all those channels how many are available outside Greece? Depending on your country(not sure about other places) but here in Canada we got at least 6 of those channels in some forum ethier a international feed or some copy right feed IE Odyssey(ANT 1). The only one we don't have is this Makedonia channel?

Did they say when it'll be available for Canada or the US?

I'm not sure if their owned by the same people, I do know that the guy in Toronto who owns OTN has the rights to Sportsplus & Greek Cinema in Canada.Don't sub to Sportsplus though.

It'll be interesting to see who in Canada wil pick it up? Will Ethnic Channels get it? Will Soundview get it? or will OTN get it? If doesc come to Canada expect Bell Fibe to pick it up and probably Rogers?

If ERT World comes back what they should do is take programming from ERT 1,2 & 3 and put it on ERT World. Is just me or does that woman sound scared of the TV Camera?

When it was in Free preview the PQ seemed pretty good although not in HD it still wasn't bad. As for what league that I don't know.

That might be fine for those in the GTA but others not as close as the those in the GTA are out of luck. The signals(US) are not as strong and come in weak,like here in Ottawa.

But the way Bell Fibe has the New ones RIK etc it appears they've left room for at least 8 more Greek channels to be added if they where to remap all the Greek Channels in the 2000's 2760 4E 2761 RIK SAT 2762 Star 2763 Sports Plus 2764 to 2778 Empty 2779 CHIR The other Greek Channels(7) are in the 600's & 800's.

Sports + is $10 on Bell Fibe and is a add on only, can't getit by itself.

Well its the Feb 18. we'll see Sports Plus on Fibe tomorrow and I'll report how the PQ is and such and if any other "Mystery" Greek channels show up.Remember SKAI & MAD World popped up with out any warning.

Instead of "wasting" money on a new ERT, maybe the government should concentrate on the debt and stop putting money into something that's only going to cause more debt and economic problems in the country and with EU & Germany? What a bunch of stupid idiots NA SU VALCA :wacko: :stupid: :xxx:

I'm wondering how Bell & OTN will package this channel? Will it be by itself or will it be offered with OTN? Also will it be available on BTV? Maybe? How about Rogers? I noticed they are now carrying Greek Cinema? In any case when it shows up on Bell Fibe expect to see it between 2760 & 2779.It'l probaslly be on free preview for a while. If so I'll watch it and give my opion of the channel. I still can't understand why Bell Fibe has re-alined all their ethnics to the 2000 range it would make it so much easier to find your ethnic service if they where all grouped together instead of sopread all over the place.

The thing is there are only 3 companies that own rights to Greek Programming and channels in Canada. OTN Ethnic Channel Group Soundview. I'm not exactly sure off hand who owns what in Canada. But as it stands now we have: OTN(ANT 1) Mega Alpha Star International RIK SAT 4E SKAI or NGTV which ever its called ?Mad World or Greek Music which ever its called Greek Cinema OTN Plus/Sports which I believe is Sports Plus owned by OTN which has yet to launch but I'm figure either this month or next since was approved in November. The way Fibe TV has their Greek combo now is if you want the Greek Combo you have to take RIK,OTN,Star,CHIR(radio) & SKAI for $20, you can't get the old combo anymore. Those that presently have it are grandfathered in.

Although I don't sub to these channels anymore according to the IPG the still say SKAI & Mad World. Now when I had them NGTV had SKAI as the TV logo, yet 99% of commercials where from New York City. The thing was if you looked at NGTV schedule it matched the channel on Fibe called SKAI, though most of the programming came from SKAI there was no way it was the SKAI channel from Greece. There's basically a 7 hour time difference between here and there so there's no way programming could be live. Accept with the "New Greek Combo $20(now compared to old Greek Combo-$10(those that had it are grandfathered in) old Combo-$10 No longrer available for new subs OTN CHTO CHIR ERT(Greek Cinema) New Combo-$20 OTN CHIR SKAI(NGTV) RKI Star So now if you want to sub to the Greek Combo your "FORCED" to take SKAI,RKI & Star.These only apply for Bell Fibe TV, not sure on BELL TV? It should be noted that OTN got approval for Sports Plus but there calling it OTN Plus in November so I'm expecting it to show up eith this month or next on Bell fibe.

So whats the difference between this one and Sports Plus, which has been approved for Canada by the CRTC and will be broadcast by OTN. I'm guessing in the next 2-3 months it should pop up on at least Bell Fibe and maybe Rogers, but Nerit Plus vs Sports Plus what the dif? besides the owners?

Sports Plus gets approval for coverage in Canada? OTN-Sports Plus http://crtc.gc.ca/eng/archive/2014/2014-614.htm I suspect to se this show up on Bell Fibe Tv in the next fw months. Maybe Rogers as well.

Yup, still there at 892. The newest Greek Station was added was Greek Radio station CHIR at CN# 2779. I'm guessing at some point Bell Fibe is going to do a channel re-alinement to put all there ethnic services together. At present the Greek,Russian, and couple of other ethnic services have channels located in different section of the line up. For the Greek ones Bell has left space in the 2000's range. At present Fibe has it like this: 652 SKAI 653 Mad World Skips to 888 MEGA 889 ANT 1 890 Greek Cinema 891 Alpha 892 CHTO Skips to 2760 4E 2761 RIK SAT 2762 Star International Skips to 2779 CHIR So I'm assuming the way Fibe has set it up,so that they could possibly carry 20 Greek Channels. Now if you put the ones at 652,3,888-892 in the 2760-2779 range that leaves 9 spaces open and assuming they add Sports Plus & NERT, that leaves you 7 spots left.If you add the 3 radio stations on Dish(Greek ones) that leaves you with 4 spots left.I'm not sure why they haven't added the Greek Radio Station from Montreal? But I can see this happening. Bell Fibe seems to want to add every single ethnic services to get the ethnic subs to compete with Rogers,Videotron & Coegeco.

When I go to my account for programming I can change it. As for Mega Cosmos I'm not sure if you can just get it with OTN or not? On the info I got from that link it has OTN list as $7.00 in the Greek Combo(new one)and the others have no price under them. Greek Cinema is listed as $5. I'm not sure if the old combo packafew is still available or not but I think it is but not sure on that. As for Bell Sat, I don't think you'll see these new channels. I wouldn't even be surprised if they drop all the Greek Channels. It appears BTV is dropping their ethnic services from BTV and having you go to Bell Fibe. My mother only subs to 3 channels now. OTN,Mega & Greek Cinema(she likes the movies). she dropped SKAI & Alpha. It should be noted that Greek Cinema is now available on Rogers Cable CH# 666 :evil: I know WHAT THE :xxx: putting it on the sign of the beast!!! But like I said I have a feeling more Greek channels are on their way NERT? Sports Plus and maybe those Radio stations that are on Dish because the way Bell Fibe has the channels listed 2760-2779, that's 20 channels and if you see my list they fit just perfectly?

I'm not sure if the Old Combo is still available to new subs or not? So in the old one you keep CHTO & Greek Cinema and gain CHIR, but in the new combo package you loose CHTO & Greek Cinema, but gain CHIR,RIK SAT & Star Channel. Notice you can't get RIK SAT & Star Channel as add ons only 4E TV from the new channels added recently? The way Bell has placed the channels assuming they remap the others in the 2000's range it appears that more Greek Channels may be on the way?
