and that they should keep in mind the cops are like lethal robots that can have a major malfunction at any moment.

Isn't this applicable for every encounter with a person carrying a deadly weapon? Using the word 'cops' in this sentence is misleading as if only cops can malfunction.

Your corrected sentence should read: "and that they should keep in mind the deadly weapon bearers are like lethal robots that can have a major malfunction at any moment."

But yes, police officers should have better training. The question is can Police Departments afford it? Can Cities afford it? Are tax-payers willing to pay the price?

  2. Obviously some ignorant people in here are not aware of the fact that more illegal immigrants have been deported under the Obama administration than any other administration in the history of the US.  Instead they shout one-liners like little parrots. And just in case you long for the past, here are some fond (for you) memories.

Αν το πληκτρολόγιο σου δεν δουλεύει φίλτατε, ίσως είναι καιρός να βάλεις το χέρι στην τσέπη και να αγοράσεις καινούργιο.

One can find brand new keyboards at Best Buy, Walmart and Amazon.com.

  4. Anybody that thinks that his willy is not letting him sleep at peace should just chop the whole thing off.

Mother nature has a reason for providing her creatures with features and body elements. Genitalia mutilation is man invented and only serves to exercise control over the broader population.

It's about time you take your dick in your hands and make friends with it!

  5. Of course they are. People are represented in all layers of EU governance. It's called "Representative democracy". But I guess the rest of this forum's 'scholars' never heard that term before.

  6. I see you reduced your argument to the sort of limited vocabulary typically reserved for the Huffington Post and anarcho-communists who do nothing more than eek out cries of populist, natavist, xenophobic, misogynist, atavistic, fascist, and racist to any moron who believes in... democracy!

Over the course of thousands of years, we have come as a species to use single words when we try to describe a series of properties and attributes that might encompass the politico-socialogical tendencies of a person or group of people. We use the word 'racist' when referring to a description of a person instead of the much prolonged 'a person who believes that one's own racial group is superior or that a particular racial group is inferior to the others.'

I know you have a grasp of this concept, as exhibited by your use of words like 'anarcho-communists' and 'democracy.' Of course having a grasp of the word concept and understanding the meaning of the word are two different things.

You and the rest of the Nigel Farage fan club in these forums throw around the word 'democracy' like you understand what it actually means. You make references to Mussolini without actually knowing anything about history and how his implementation of  'democracy' brought him to power. Go back read how Hitler came to power through the ranks of the 'democratic' process.

Do you think that fascists rulers drop from the sky? Read your history, read the history of your people. Read the history of demagogues that started wars and destroyed peoples all in the name of patriotism.

Of course, for you and the rest of the fascist cheering members in these forums, history doesn't much matter, as long as gays and black people continue to be oppressed and enslaved. Oh, and did I forget women? Do they also belong barefoot in the kitchen?

Of course, once in a while you utter hollow words like 'freedom', 'democracy' without actually understanding what they mean.

Please. Go educate yourselves before you start a conversation in a public forum. Don't start talking about your rights, your guns and your dicks. Talk about your values as human beings, your ethics and moral obligations towards generations to come.

  7.  Let me know if further downgrades follow in the coming months from those economic gods so I can start stockpiling food.

It doesn't much matter whether you respect the way the global financial world works or not. The fact of the matter is that the cost of borrowing and doing business is going to be higher for the UK under such circumstances. In plain English, ordinary folks are going to be asked to contribute millions (or maybe billions) to this surcharge (through the taxes they are paying), when it didn't need to happen (or maybe should I say it's not going to accomplish what was promised. It was never going to.) Their taxes will now go to paying off higher interest rates instead of building schools and fixing roads.

As for Mr Farage, well he can't 'cost the UK dearly' as he'll never be in power,

Maybe you don't understand the meaning of the word 'power', that's why you use it so loosely. Mr.(dickhead) Farage is a political figure that influences public opinion with his bullcrap. Do you need more?

I'm gonna enjoy the view from my front row seat, who knows I may even cheer from time to time.

You may do what ever pleases you. If you get tired of cheering, try that ding-a-ling. That will surely please you (I'm talking from personal experience).

  8. According to many news media, Nigel Farrage is a populist, racist, fascist, arrogant dickhead! And I'm assuming all you guys that like him are pretty much aware of what he stands for, correct? Just asking.

Because according to me, I agree with them that Nigel Farrage is a populist, racist, fascist, arrogant dickhead that is going to cost the UK dearly (if it's still the UK in 10 years).

I'm also assuming that all you Brexiters are following the news and are celebrating the rewards that started pouring in:

UK stripped of final 'AAA' rating and FTSE 350 surrenders

    ..I skip your posts.

My apologies. I did not mean to make you cry.

And here I am, believing you when you said "I skip your posts"

When's your nameday? I'll buy you a pair of flip-flops

what you're saying (if i'm not mistaken) is a competent right wing Greek government would have done everything the troika demanded,

Never said anything about any political affiliation. Just said "had Greece completed the reforms..." I'm not defending right wing or left wing. I'm bashing Greece's politicians and how political leadership and democracy are obsolete terms in Greece. New Democracy did a half-assed job to start reforms in Greece. Antonis Samaras is incompetent. Tsipras is simply Samaras on the opposite side of the isle. Both useless.

  10. Super speech:

Great speech. However, I don't think Tsipras is interested in keeping Greece part of the EU. I think he is more interested in hanging onto power in Greece and install a Chavez/Meduro style government for Greece.

Nothing would maker me happier than to be proven wrong.

  11. On top of that, I am not here to have a conversation with YOU, and I could care less about what you said earlier because the truth of the matter is...I skip your posts.

I guess with the exception of a couple of reasonable guys, this forum has mostly 5-year-old kids. Good to know.

  12. There seems to be a slight hope that the new FM made a good presentation. But will The Syriza boneheads ruin it by calling the EU terrorists and making other inappropriate remarks?

The Guardian reads: Eurozone tells Greece not to expect debt relief in near future

"Hopes fade for quick solution to thwart Grexit as Eurogroup finance chiefs show incredulity as new Greek finance minister arrives without detailed proposals"

Good thing Tsipras held a referendum and had a strong hand in negotiations. Otherwise,

  13. Either you're naive or being mischievous, even the IMF who championed austerity said austerity hasn't worked, so if the previous government was still in power you'd have more austerity and asset sales to the point of Greece owning nothing, which of course is the goal of the creditors.

Had Greece completed the reforms, she would have been in a position to renegotiate terms following pressure from IMF and US. Gotta play the game first, can't keep asking for a blank check.

Can someone explain to me in laymen terms what the problem with nationalised banks is?

Nationalizing banks does not address of solve any of Greece underlying economy problems. If the government takes over a bank, public shares will suddenly be worthless and shareholders will lose everything. Same with depositors and institutional customers. To prevent total panic, the government will probably cover those stakeholders up to a certain level ? with taxpayers footing the bill once again.

And then you have bureaucracy, corruption and plain-old clientelist appointments for the benefit of the party and not the real economy. Does that sound like Greece to you? Or, need I go on? Unless you think it will be a different (Utopian) Greece with SYRIZA and Tsipras at the helm.

  14. People will again continue to fault the Greek government when for the last 5 years have done everything the creditors wanted.

And to a degree the previous government (New Democracy) was making progress in the right direction. Greece would have been out the deep waters in a couple of years.

    And then... SYRIZA happened!

  15. It's not about being for sale, it's about being serious in these negotiations.  If it is true that Greece is unprepared, what better way to anger your peers by not being ready.  Remember, Tsipras said that the banks would originally be open on Tuesday.

Wait a minute! Tsipras just won the referendum. Somebody's gotta go out and party! What is this thing about 'preparedness' and 'responsibility' that you're bring up. Those words DO NOT exist in SYRIZA's dictionary. For them it's all about big words and trying to trick/confuse the public.

These people (Greek government) are just plain-old-ridiculous.
