Olympiacos CFP have completed the signing of Brazilian left-back Leonardo Jesus Geraldo from Brazilian second-tier side Portuguesa SP. The 22-year-old has signed a five-year contract with the Greek champions.

    'Big step forward'

"It's a big step forward in my career," Leonardo said. "I am joining a big European club and the fact they have won ten out of the last eleven titles in Greece speaks volumes about them. I am willing to learn and give my best for my team." Leonardo is Olympiacos's third new signing during the transfer window following the arrivals of Fernando Belluschi and Mirnes Sisič. Olympiacos are second in the Greek Super League, one point behind leaders AEK Athens and face Chelsea FC in the first knockout round of the UEFA Champions League.

Personally I don't know this guy and haven't watched him.... Only time will tell

  2. ne is a huge bust and konstandinou is s%$#! he hasnt done anything lately

You have to admit though that when Ne was playing and was healthy he was a good midfielder..... My reasoning behind is just so we can "open up" the budget even more if we have to sign some more midfielders... I think that we need to look into the Serbian market a bit more.. There are some great youth talent and some veterans that would LOVE to play at a club like ours and would give their blood and sweat...
  3. couple of things...

    1) Like Belluchi as a player and he's going to help us in the middle alot w/ his pace and good ball handling skillz

    2) If we sign Papadopoulos that would be another great signing this year.. After the game w/ Iraklis he really showed GREAT potential.

  4. I pray Kyriakos doesn't come back to Greece, he's way too good for Greece and if he came to Oly he'd ruin himself. If the fans never warmed to Kapsis imagine the reception Kyriako will be getting every game. He is capable of moving to one of Germany's BIG clubs or even one of England's or Italy's very good clubs. For me, he is one of the best centre-backs in Europe and Olympiakos would be the wrong move for him, the Ethniki, & Olympiakos.

As for Delgado, why not? Ivic is sooo keen on him let's see what he can do.

As for Cleyton, I like him alot but what would he offer that's different? He isn't that different from Lua Lua, I'd like to see a forward that has lots of pace and makes runs off the shoulder of the last man. Why not be ambitious and go for unhappy former greats like Shevchenko?

I completely agree w/ the Kyryiakos comment...

Stay away from Greece my man.

  5. Kyryiakos is the better one from the 2 names named above, but I would REALLY be surprised if he comes...

It's very evident that we need to get a defensman and there are plenty of them out there we just have to scout a bit better..

  6. I can't believe Lemonis is the first coach to get a win for Olympiakos away from Greece in the Champions League.

I have always believed that in Greece there are unrealistic expectations on the coaches to win every game.

Not sure if Lemonis is the answer, but I hope he last until the end of the season. He deserves that much.

Regardless of the fact, maybe more Greek coaches will get a chance now.

Lemonis is DEFINITELY NOT THE ANSWER!

No way guys... It's no fluke that we got the win but you all have to admit that this years team (as a whole) is better than last year. It seems that in every position we're preety solid (except in the CB role)

  7. Nothing but good praise and KUDOS to the kids. This was an AMAZING accomlishment...

    BRAVO PEDIA

:gr: :gr: :gr: :gr: :gr: :gr:

These guys should come back to Greece as heroes and there should be TONS of support...

  8. This just shows you that our youth is the way to go.

At some point these "old farts" of players have to say that I'm going to step back and let these youngsters play before I do and have my self come off the bench. If not the players the coaches need to realize this.

    BRAVO PEDIA

  9. 90% chance of going through to the next stage of the competition... As long as we don't flounder completely in the match against Spain.

We just need to keep playing the soccer that Nioblias has taught the kids and go from there.. :gr: :gr: :gr: :box: :box: :gr: :gr: :gr: :nw:

I'm still disappointed that NO GREEK TV is televising these NT games

    SHAME

  10. What a shame....

I watched the U-21 game vs Azerbaijan and it was a DISGRACE.

1st of all we won the match 4-1 which was extremely positive for the team, but the turn-out to watch this game was a complete joke.

The team was playing in Athens and it attracted ONLY 200 FANS..

What the hell? If we don't support our you th what are we going to be expecting in the future??

It was a disgrace to see that sort of a result from the Greek Public. But you know who's to blame for this? EPO (How many times have we said that?)
