Tzanakakis out, Platellas doubtful for the coming weekend.

What a time, what memories, what players. They used to make me happy and complete as a person, being always in a good mood....in the mood of 'can't wait for weekend or even summer/autumn midweek for some European action".

Pity that neither of Sakis Kanoulas, Nikos Angeloudis nor Vasili Tryantafyllakos have made anything in their careers, mostly hanging around Beta or even Gamma Ethniki. I thought there was some potential in them.

Επιστροφή για Νίκιτς, ατομικό για τρειςΜε μία επιστροφή και τρεις απουσίες ξεκίνησε η προετοιμασία του ΑΡΗ για την αναμέτρηση της ερχόμενης Κυριακής (06/12) με τη Δράμα.
Ο Νίκιτς μπήκε κανονικα με την υπόλοιπη ομάδα, ενώ ατομικό ακολούθησαν οι Πλατέλλας, Τζανακάκης και Μιλούνοβιτς.
Η ενημέρωση της ΠΑΕ, αναφέρει:
"Μετά το ρεπό της Τρίτης, επιστροφή σήμερα, Τετάρτη, στις προπονήσεις για τους ποδοσφαιριστές του ΑΡΗ.
Η προπόνηση ήταν πρωινή και έγινε στις εγκαταστάσεις του Δασυγένειου Αθλητικού Κέντρου ενόψει της κυριακάτικης αναμέτρησης με τη Δόξα Δράμας στο γήπεδο της Δόξας Δράμας (10/12, 15:00), στο πλαίσιο της 7ης αγωνιστικής του πρωταθλήματος της Football League της αγωνιστικής περιόδου 2017-2018.
Οι Μανώλης Τζανακάκης και Λούκα Μιλούνοβιτς ακολούθησαν και σήμερα ατομικό πρόγραμμα, ενώ ο Βαγγέλης Πλατέλλας (ενοχλήσεις στους προσαγωγούς) συνεχίζει το ειδικό πρόγραμμα της αποθεραπείας του.
Στον αντίποδα, ο Μπράνισλαβ Νίκιτς ξεπέρασε τις ενοχλήσεις στη μέση και προπονήθηκε κανονικά.

Μεγάλη εκτός έδρας νίκη για τον Άρη, στις 5 Δεκεμβρίου 2009, στα πλαίσια της 13ης αγωνιστικής του πρωταθλήματος της Super League. Επρόκειτο για την πρώτη νίκη των κιτρίνων με τον Έκτορ Ραούλ Κούπερ στον πάγκο.
Το σκορ για τους φιλοξενούμενους άνοιξε ο Κάμπορα στο 41’, όταν έπειτα από κόρνερ του Κάλβο από τα δεξιά και γύρισμα του Κόκε προς τη μικρή περιοχή εκείνος βρέθηκε αφύλαχτος και με καρφωτή κεφαλιά έστειλε τη μπάλα στα δίχτυα. Το 0-2 σημείωσε ο Ναφτί στο 78’ με πλασέ μέσα από την περιοχή, μετά από κάθετη μπαλιά του Κάλβο. Οι γηπεδούχοι είχαν στο 9’ δυνατό σουτ του Branco έξω από την περιοχή που κατέληξε στο οριζόντιο δοκάρι και στη συνέχεια άουτ και ενώ ο Σηφάκης είχε βρει τη μπάλα. Αλλά και στο 67’, σε μία φάση σχεδόν ίδια με την προηγούμενη, όταν ο Branco προσπάθησε με ένα καταπληκτικό αριστερό σουτ έξω από την περιοχή να κρεμάσει τον τερματοφύλακα του Άρη, εκείνος αλλοίωσε την πορεία της μπάλας και την έστειλε στο οριζόντιο δοκάρι.

Happy birthday to once our creative attacking midfielder Paulo Costa who turns 38. Great player. Also played in Beta Ethniki in the 2nd stage of the season back then, when we needed to promote and did so.
Also from the beginning of December, we "celebrated" 7 years from the historic win over Atletico Madrid away (2:3, December 1st). Platellas aka FL's Messi also turned 29 on that day.
Avraam Papadopoulos turned 33 in December the 3rd.
Good players while wearing the yellow shirt, all of them!

I think OFI and Panahaiki play head-to-head when we go to Doxa during the weekend.

Yes. I knew that I had seen that goal somewhere on the CL highlights.
Krima for Nikos Psychogios and Ilias Stavropoulos and with more less ruined careers due to injuries and whatever else...both with no clubs these days. Stavropoulos only 22.
Valentin Roberge is a regular starter for Apollon Limassol. also played for Sunderland not long ago and had some matches even there. I liked the guy really.
Anyone remembering Ian Daly?
A thin Irish attacker now plays in his homeland or UK for who knows what club in what division according to transfermarkt.

Noticed that Noe Acosta and Alex Karagiannis are some important names for Lamia this season being involved in goals and even red cards.
Good to see that, once a boy loaned in Aris, Danilo Pereira developed well and plays for Porto, even a starter lately, I think, in most of the matches.

Cretan derby is about to begin. Hope Ergo can do some damage, although after they had lost to us they have been tragic

Probably. Well, still not a best angle. Questionable but that's not our business.
Next match: Doxa away, OFI in. Important matches as hell and not the easiest.
This year, I conclude , in terms of quality majority of teams are closer and in the similar level. Last season we would have more easier matches with more big-margin wins, but again this season even tougher opponents we succeeded at winning, something that last season we failed occasionally when we shouldn't have, after we even blew some 1 or 2 goal leads to not finish with 3 pointers and stay in touch.

Not a good Aris. Lucky to get a 3 pointer really as they deserved a draw. Also they had a disallowed goal on a possible foul that was whistled.
Somewhere we will pay probably for some luck that we have had in recent matches.

Off topic: BTW Lot of creativity and quality opinion exchanges were also on the "other" forum. The core squad is almost the same now, 9 years older,...just.
There is KOKE/ex SANJURJO missing and that basketaris member. We would kick some aaaa again with crazy traffic and quality. And we need one kid member who will easily get 10+ posts per day and we will rock again :D
PS. And not to mention that we need Aris in the first class again:)

Our weakest line is definitely the DM.
My favourite players are Souza, Tzanakakis and Platellas. I like also Dounis, Pavlidis and Diamantopoulos.
Passas is worst than Kapnidis, Milunovic is an unpleasantg surprise, IMO we miss a better subtitution for Diamantopoulos upfront.

Good thing is, regardless of negatives of our attacking midfield + strike line (RW-AM-LW-ST part I mean) chemistry is good, modern change of places during a game where you can see Platellas on RW, AM, or behind a main striker, also Passas on AM, LW, or behind a main striker, Kassos similar (and most of others who played there), also you can see Diamantopoulos withdrawing sometimes. They use a lot of through balls and direct attacking which is so far our biggest advantage and a level above other teams.
Maybe I am a bit under impression of come backs against Ergo and Panaxaiki, but from what I have seen in second halves I am not far from truth. Otherwise, and without high fitness level, I am sure we wouldn't have had 5 outta 5.

OK, let me analyze our players that I created some opinion of until now, for the beginning of the season. I tried to dig as deep as I could in order to not miss anyone and say the core in one sentence. If I miss someone, that is either because he hasn't played a lot so far or I missed a player by no intention.
Bolded players are mostly starters and anyone, who hasn't followed Aris much this season, after reading, can figure out who plays where and how he has played so far.
Kantimiris - GK, Good so far. No noted mistakes and good saves he has had from time to time. Only 3 concedes.
Anagnostopoulos - GK, OK-ish, but not tested enough so far. No serious business against PAS for example.

Tzanakakis - RWB, Very good so far. Worth starting, overlaping when he needs. Defensively not too weak.
Hugo Souza - CD, very brave, good anticipating, leadership skills, tacles mostly on time, not slow. Like him.
Delizissis - CD (captain), good overall. And OK-ish partnership with Souza although I didn't like some defending in our quick concedes against Ergo and Panaxaiki
Marangos - CD, alternative CD, error prone, lack of confidence, but has some positives that could be seen more
Bourbos - LWB/RWB - Starter and alternative, depends. Slow, but very professional and tries. I should say nothing against the lad
Valerianos - LWB, good against Panaxaiki, but has some liabilities
Tzoumanis - LWB, good against Giannina, still a starter material. Even better and sharper than both Bourbos and Valerianos

Moumin - DCM, slow at passing sometimes, so as at moving and thinking, but has had some good balls and I think doesn't make errors at passing a lot which is good if nothing else
Intzoglou - DCM, again not the quickest CM, although tackles more and harder than Moumin, but with less vision
Nikić - DCM, not consistent and fittest player, although he tries hard, tackles and can pass. Slow too
Pavlidis - CM/AM, again not consistent, but can pass and even attends the attacking operations
Platellas - RW, probably the best asset this season. Skillful, can pass, also crosses and shoots. Good to watch
Lottas - RW/AM, a blondie guy...loses balls, makes mistakes, was subbed out at half time against Giannena
Milunović - AM/CF, strange player, sometimes I think he can do anything in Football league, then again loses himself and disappears in a game.
Stevanović - CM, similar to his compatriot Milunović, although with limited football knowledge
Passas - AM/CF, not bad, moves a lot up front, versatile, changes positions, loves to make combinations, one-twos, through balls, but something is missing, and that is probably why he plays in second division
Kassos - AM/CF, same as above more less, but even more inconsistent and has that Milunović syndrome
Dounis - LW, pacey, can even shoot, can be tough. also lacks consistency
Bargkan - Similar as above. Set piece taker when he is in mostly

Diamantopoulos - ST, top scorer, not a bad finisher and smart mover
Kapnidis - ST, develops slowly in 3 year period now, not the perfect finisher, clumsy with the ball sometimes

Chris, the field condition I can only assume is the result of financial issues.
I think Souza even got a yellow. Nevertheless, I understand the point. Souza and PAS guy should have been treated and punished by same color. 50%-50% guilty incident more less.

Although I noticed that Spanos rotated and gave some alternative guys chances in friendly matches (Boca for example) and cup matches. From typical league line-up, for example tonight, he used just Hugo Souza and Kassos from the start of the match, who is an occasional starter (Kassos), which is good. The top XI should be refreshed for the league.
BTW Platellas played about 10-15 minutes and Milunović had chances again in these less-prioritized matches compared to last season when he was important piece of puzzle especially in the first half of the season.
Similar is with Kenan Bargkan who was good from the wing in this match.

Pitch was OK actually compared to how it looked against Panachaiki during the weekend.
1:1 it finished. Cheap goal conceded and that palto Soltani netted it after miscommunication between our stoppers to make it 1:1. Only 2 mistakes in full match that Aris played well overall and both mistakes were made by our back-up CD Marangos where the second one caused a concede.

Solid performance actually. All players in our team play for his coach and Aris shirt whoever plays in this season, which is great to see. Also direct playing, lot of diagonal passes, through balls, crosses and all we lacked was a bit more clear cut chances.
We continue the second half with a player up as they got a red card which was too harsh to tell you the truth.

There are some parallels with the Ergo match. Of course again that turn around after the first conceded goal.
Platellas good again. Hope all is well with Tzanakakis and that injury. Kapnidis clumsy up front.

Same old lazy first halves. Exposed defense especially that Valerianos' left side. We had no chances up front. Hope for a better second period.
