Why exactly is this happening? I mean from an OSFP kind of view ... you had a good CL run and are second in the league, why get rid of him now?

Wow stunning goal indeed ! ! ! Bravo Gekas !
-
Great goal  :gr:
@ paxiotis7: Nothing special. That it's his first UEFA Cup goal (this year?) and that the "small" Greek headed the ball in. Then goes on to describe the goal a bit more.
Gekas pounces to hamper Hamburg
Bayer 04 Leverkusen have the edge in the all-German UEFA Cup Round of 16 tie against Hamburger SV courtesy of a second-half goal from Theofanis Gekas.

Kilmarnock 1-5 Celtic
New striker Georgios Samaras made an instant impact by grabbing a debut goal as Celtic thrashed Kilmarnock in the Scottish Cup fifth round at Rugby Park.
Read the full article and listen to the interview with Celtic manager Gordon Strachan here. He comments Samaras' performance around 1:10 far in the interview.

I've been looking for it all over but haven't found anything yet. You can count on it being posted here from as soon as I've found it!

New Celtic recruit Georgios Samaras made an instant impact by grabbing a debut goal as Kilmarnock were crushed in the Scottish Cup at Rugby Park.
The striker rounded off the fifth-round rout when he came off the bench late on, replacing Scott McDonald who had already claimed a double.
He came in as a sub in the 67th. :)

Burns welcomes new bhoys
...
“Georgios Samaras has joined us and he will go straight into the squad for tomorrow,” said Burns, as he looked ahead to the Fir Park clash. “That’s a good signing for the supporters.”
...
“Samaras is a player from a good level. He’s been in the English Premiership and he’s done reasonably well there.”
“He’ll find that this club is different, and the demands are different. You have to be a winner at Celtic – it’s not an every week thing, it’s an every day thing.”

We don't know his motives.
Anyways I would like him coming to AEK :) .
But it's not gonna happen. At least not now.

this move will give samaras more playing time to show what he is capable of..
i hope he decides to go..

Here's the vid that goes with the story:

Commentary in Portuguese. Nothing that spectacular, but it's bad for the "teamgeist" so I guess a suspension is in place ...
-
I'ld say S.L. Benfica, Atletico Madrid, Manchester City and Leverkusen ... just for the Greek players in them ! :D
-
Leverkusen is sure of at least the third spot in their group, but can still climb to second or first. Advancement is certain.
-
Final whistle: Leverkusen 1 - 0 Praga.
Good for Gekas ! ! !
-
Ok Gekas was just substituted for Sinkiewicz with ten minutes to go ...
too bad, hopefully he scores one (or many) next game!

No dreams have been ended yet...
the game's still on and Guerrero just equalised making it 2-2.
Of course Hamburg would still need 2 goals to actually win this but the game's not over yet ...
