The weekend was better for Aris as they beat Panaigialios 2-1. Fun fact, my grandfather played and coached the team from Aigio, this is also the reason my father was born there, so I have a soft spot for them. Don't you all feel better now that you know this!!!!!

Happy New Year all!!! Horrible way to start the new year for Aris as they were beaten 2-0 by a Kallithea team that was near the bottom of the standings. Here's hoping this is not the way 2017 will go.

Second game today for the cup and Aris came back from a 3-1 deficit to tie Astera Tripolis 3-3. The team is tied for 1st place after 2 rounds and has a game remaining against Veroia at home.

The wait is over and Aris starts the season on the road against Anagennisi Karditsas with a 1-1 draw. I'm sure the result is disappointing but better than a loss. Way to point out the obvious Mitso.

I can't believe that it's almost November and teams competing in the Football are just now playing their first official game. Aris began Cup play with a 3-0 victory in Veroia against Aiginiakos. Hope this is the beginning of a successful season.

Kozi, I agree that he didn't have time to process the play which is why he reacted to what he saw and raised his flag, in my opinion anyway.

I am not a seasoned official but whether it's deliberate or not does not matter, does he interfere is the question. Let's say a player knowing he is in an off-sides position does not attempt to play the ball but it hits a small rock on the field changes direction and touches the player, the flag must go up regardless of his intentions, right?

Viewing the above picture is what made me look at the video because I could not believe that even a corrupt AR would actually call this play off-sides. The PAOK player (his right foot is touching the white line) causes the player in front of him to react to said player and not make a direct run at the PAOK player that ends up scoring the goal. If you go to 1:00 minute mark of the link below you'll see what I am talking about. By the law of the game the call is correct. Can't disagree with you on the rest of what you say given the state of the superleague. Furthermore, had he not raised his flag not many would have questioned it.

Kozi, I am not here to troll just offering an opinion. Sorry if I offended you but based on the laws of the game he wasn't actually wrong. If you read the link you posted the same is stated at the end, the reason he gave originally.

Gentlemen, for what it's worth, the off-sides call was actually correct. The player in the off-sides position interferes with the defender trying to get back, by the new laws of the game that play is off-sides regardless of where the player receiving the ball was at that time.
