  1. Differing sources. I think fifa.com has erred in their time conversion. Are Sydney and Melbourne in the same time zone?
  2. AUSTRALIA 18 Federici(GK) 3 Gersbach 20 Sainsbury 8 Wright 19 McGowan 5 Milligan 13 Mooy 23 Rogic 7 Leckie 10 Kruse 4 Cahill(Captain) BENCH 1 Ryan(GK) 12 Birighitti(GK) 2 Geria 6 Degenek 9 Giannou 11 Ikonomidis 14 Smith 16 Burns 17 Risdon 24 MacLaren 25 Irvine Manager: Ange Postecoglou(AUS)
  3. There wasn't even a feed really from last game, and for the 5 minutes there was, it was like you described. I'm in the US pulling an all-nighter, and it's really disappointing.
  4. I still don't understand it, though. Is this a contest to see which city is Greeker? Or which city's Greeks show up more?
  5. Yeah, when the ethniki came here to America, they played Nigeria in Chester, Pennsylvania just outside Philadelphia, and then Bolivia in Harrison, New Jersey just outside New York City. I was able to go to both, and while the Philly Greeks and the New York Greeks both represented well, it wasn't about outdoing each other, it was about outdoing the Nigerian and Bolivian fans, which we did in both cases. Now obviously this is different as these are both true away games at Australia, but come on. In my outside perspective as a Greek-American that has never been to Australia, I always had the impression that Melbourne was Greeker than Sydney, but I won't pretend to know that with any certainty.
  6. The Australian national team announces the retractable roof at Etihad Docklands Stadium will be closed for this one. Dome game
  7. Well after a heartbreaking loss in Sydney, the ethniki give it another go in Melbourne against the same Australia team they just lost to. I see ausgreek started two threads with the same title below, I suggest we merge them into this. I would do it myself as a mod, but this section is out of my jurisdiction.
  8. On the scoreboard it didn't look bad, but we were lucky in that regard.
  9. Cyprus substitution: Makris IN Kyriakou OUT
  10. Serbia: Kolarov IN Mladenovic OUT Pavlovic IN Mitrovic OUT Zivkovic IN Kostic OUT Ljajic IN Tadic OUT
  11. Serbia substitution: Grujic IN Matic OUT
  12. Maksimovic tries a backpass to Kahriman and it's a bad one! OWN GOAL! GOAL FOR CYPRUS!
  13. Tadic, deflects off a defender and in, 2-0. Tadic credited with the goal.
