I havent been following Greek Football for a while but when I saw Vlahodimos a few months back, he was MVP for one PAO game. I cant comment that he has no football brain as I havent seen enough of him. What I have seen i have been impressed with his goals and assists and have seen no indication that he is retarded. In this game we would have been better with him than without him.

Not sure about Karellis. It was a good goal but not sure if he is starting material, He scored a great goal in the qualifiers and was a big disappointment from then on. Makes so many errors and has problem with his control and gets disposed easily. With Mitro I have never thought he was good enough. His skills work great for league games only but we never had any real alternative. Hopefully this is changing. If we can include players like Vlahodimas, Kone and Mavrias we will take pressure of four defense and create better and clearer opportunities for our strikers. Chasing the ball all day is so tiring. We cant keep playing like this! Otto selected players that gave us a strong defense with swift counter attacks and we must use the same formula. Our midfielders were not moving up to support when we were attacking. Only Fortounis was. We had no options and they always had more players behind the ball than us. There were no players in the centre to receive any crosses or passes many times. I certainly miss Samaras. We went downhill fast after the World Cup.

Yeah Economou was great. Manolas has concentration problems. I want to see Vlahodimos in the squad too. We have the players to makle the difference to be in the top 10 again.

Good result but we still have a lot of work to do especially in attack starting from the midfield. I am over Samaris. We cant rely just on Fortounis.

Manolas just didn't pick him up at all. Terrible... We just cant get a decent attack going. We get bogged down on the wings and then playing back and then eventually losing the ball and end up chasing.

Great goal by Karelis but they are still much quicker than us.

Its going to be hard to score and finish because our slow attack allows them to have numbers in defense. I didn't make that clear enough up top.

It wasn't at you. Just commenting on the line up. No way. We do need wingers and we have them. We play too slow when attacking and they have time to get numbers in defense. We need to pressure them up front more. We cant rely on just Fortounis for a spark.

Whats so great about this line up? Where are the wingers?? Too defensive IMO and too many players that play central. Its not balanced. Is Siovas and Mantalos world cup material? Sokratis would make an awesome def mid. I will be curious to see Mitros work rate for Ethniki.

I also think the borders were planned to close once they reached 1 million in Germany. Otherwise Merkel would be lynched. I think the goal now is to populate Greece as much and as fast as possible and possibly cause a dispute with Turkey. What ever Tsipras says expect the opposite. In Easter the satanist expects a resurrection of the economy. I anticipate a possible financial collapse so watch out for May. Anyways, what is happening to our patrida is bringing me to tears. Great post! I mentioned this a while back. We havent been the same offensively, I watched some of the 1st half Pana v Paok. Vlahodimas was on fire down the left! A worthy replacement for Samaras.

There is a chance the may have played together for the Ethniki youth teams when I looked at their profiles on Wikipedia. They will compliment each other being different type of players. One with power and the other with finesse. They are just what we need plus some decent wingers that can cross. There is good video on YouTube on Vellios but I just cant seem to be able to upload it here on the forum.

I would like to see Vellios paired with Diamandakos and get rid of the disinterested Miytroglou and Athanasiadis. These young guys will play with heart backed by skill. I would also like to see Mavrias too. We have no wingers on the right.

I think ausgreek is correct. We play with too many defensive midfielders. We dont have balance and we play passively in general. Taxidis is too slow as well and not sure of his positioning plus we need a proper leader in the midfield. Samaris reads the game better than Taxidis. Maybe ditch all of them? We need someone that can take charge in the midfield. Maybe Papastathopoulos could fill that void until we do. We do play well with Ninis on the team but he needs a good strong inspirational cm to support him or Fortounis. The key is balance. As for attack we are very bad. Mitroglou is not good enough at this level. His wild mishitting is deplorable. Karelis is just a knuclehead. Is he full Greek ancestory out of curiosity? Looks like has a bit of Egyptian in him.

Thats a crappy attack. I want Athanasiadis to score his first goal for Ethniki.

I am hopping Ninis will be given a chance with Fortounis out. I wish we could one day produce a world class striker. We miss so many oppurtunities. Mitro is just not good enough.
