If we take a step back at look at things... it's so early in the season we had one game end of July and the other yesterday beginning of August!!.. we are still 3 weeks out from the start of our season...( realistically the first game of the season is always the ice over the head game) our preparation is still developing!!!! I strongly disagree we have not progressed such judgement this early would be totally foolish!!!!..Only one of our new signings started and was prepared(wemmer)..lod was a used sub in both games!!( very hard to make an impact when your not used to system and rhythm of the team)..Sanchez suspended! essien hurt! thelander hurt! kaltsas left out!.. luke Steele also our number one choice hurt not match fit perhaps if all played a part the result may have had a different outcome.... I feel we will make 2/3 more signings this month and youl see a different panathinaikos come the Europa league!!... as of now that's what we must prove ourselfs in! Have a deep run give it a go! Domestic wise who knows we are always ever so close this year/season we may see the double being completed if we start right and compose ourselves you just never know! have fate!!!! :)

in football 100 percent focus for 90 plus!!...in saying so with out sanchez/essien/steele maybe perhaps it could have had an influence on the result!

wasn't lod bought as a box to box midfielder??..its early but i think this is the game for him to shine...okay risks are big at this stage..that's why im so curious so see what selection giannis will pick :)...ps as bad as koutroubis is.. his levels above 30 really!! based on the last performance its evident his not up to this level not anything near enough even :la: ...kotsolis made two really great game saving saves the last game out!.. im not too worried but again i wish steele starts that's my gut feeling!

id prefer to see a 4-5-1 ..........................steele.......................... pranjic......tavlaridis..koutroubis....wemmer .................,zeca......lagos.....lod........ .....................ninis...karelis.............. ........................berg.............. we need a counter attacking defensive mids...the above 3! zeca lagos lod will run all game long box to box lod and zeca passing running tracking creating chances lagos will sit in the whole and stop anything going through the middle....ninis and karelis can attack from deep and cause major problems for brugge on the break ninis creativity wise and karelis strength and hussle but capable of scoring we will need and well berg is berg! ;)...Defence wise that's the best we can go with imo....steele i believe is always safest choice!

^^^he just signed a new deal a couple of weeks ago..im very doubtful its to do with payments maybe giannis didn't want to risk steele and perhaps he is giving him more preparation match fitness wise for the return leg..just a though of course :)

next week i believe we will be even bettter!...its a must giannis gets the starting 11 right! if we score i see us go trough no doubt!..we where dogged tonight showed plenty of fight huge heart never gave up!!!...i will say i miss steele big time!! his needed for next game but i think giannis will stick with kotzio perhaps now....lagos was super key second half!! forget starting ajagun...next week will we see petric/ kaltsas or lod start i wonder??...koutroubis is our only option in defence the dane is injured........over all i believe we can overcome brugge and enter the play off round of the champions league! :tup:
