  1. Final score GREECE - Austria 1-1

Greek goal scored by Mitroglou inthe 15th minute. Austria tied it with penalty kick.

Also Spain - Portugal 1-1, which means that we have the following standings:

    1. Greece 4

    2. Spain 4

    3. Austria 1

    4. Portugal 1

All we need is a tie in the last game against Spain to make the semifinals.

  2. Greece U-19 team in first place in its division and is heading to the Quarterfinals in Austria. Greece won in Italy 2-0, tied in Croatia 2-2 (a game where Croatia tied at the 89th minute), and defeated Sweden at home 4-0 today.

    Qualifying teams

Greece Portugal Spain France Russia Romania Serbia Austria

    Tournament resumes in July

plato-ny, all the games were played in Greece, and specificaly in Litohoro.

Also I just heard a report on the radio that the players of Italy, Sweden, and Croatia stayed in the same hotel in Litohoro and had stomach problems due to food poisoning. Greek players that stayed in a diffrent hotel did not have this problem.

  3. Louis Tsatoumas broke the 13 year old Greek record in the long jump, by jumping 8.66 meters in a meet in Kalamata. This is the 8th longest jump of all time in the World and 2nd longst jump in Europe of all time.

The previous Greek record of 8.36 m was held by Koukodimos since 1994.

  4. 2-0 win against Italy in the 2nd game. Now we need to defeat Sweden in last game on Wednesday in order to qualify to the final stage of the European Championships.

I watched the game on ERT World, our two bets players were Ninis and Mitroglou, who plays for Borussia Monchengladbach reserves.

  5. PAOK' women's soccer team has won the 2006-2007 championship by defeating Aigina in the final (3-1 in Athens, and 1-1 in Thessaloniki).

PAOK will not take part in UEFA's Women's Champions League.

    Bravo sta koritsia tou PAOK.

  6. PAOK owes 40% of Gekas's contract. It was part of the Salpiggidis between Goumenos and Panathinaikos. As a result PAOK will receive around 300,000 Euro from Panathinaikos, although I believe Goumenos allready collected 50,000 under the table from Panathinaikos from that portionof the deal.

As a sidenote, Panathinaikos really screwed up with Gekas. Here they had a player, who is worth 3.5 million, and they will only get 400,000 for him.
