How bout in any way....Big ,Quick ,strikes with both feet..maybe a little weak in the air...but you see he is starting to grow,bulking up. The last qualifier for Greece he was our best MID. The kid has all the tools...will his brain follow.I believe if he keeps this goal rate going and a good world cup he will not be with Celtic next season...maybe Serie A...Bundesliga....can we say Spain.

I'm glad Samaras did not crumble under the pressure from Sven and move ASAP. The boy waited played the transfer window perfectly now finds himself with the best team in their league with a mnager who will start him right away and he get Champion Leagues action to boot. I believe this was a great move by Samaras' agent and personal team. If the young man is ready pull up the PROVERBIAL work boots and bust his hump. The next couple of weeks could be very profitable. In league games playing vs the weaker teams in Scotland and hopefully finding his confidence and touch ( remember he had a great start with City) he should bag some goals. The playing Champions League is great exposure as well, one Collosal upset of Barca and who knows. All this can benefit the Ethniki as well! The Samaras camp has rolled the dice and Giorgios must come up BIG. Good luck to Samaras

Being a backer of this young man..I am disapointed but not surprised by his comments that he wants out . Which shows his lack of selfconfidence and his will to work his way back up. A word to the young Samaras " Quittters never Win and Winners never Quit!" What upsets me is that recently on foxsports can. they had a Man City cup game and Samaras was all over the field scored a goal his 3 rd in 6 games, the announcers were raving. Now that things are not working out he wants to leave, I believe at the beginning of the season he wanted to fight for his spot,clearly not in Sven's plans he should have taken any transfer or loan to SHOW his worth. I hope he reconsiders and goes to Birmingham or any bottom table team and helps to fight for relegation and for his REPUTATION and selfrespect.All athelets and us the everyday joe face adversity I was raised to take it straight on and knock it on its ass,but maybe thats the CanadianHockey mentality in me???

I respect your opinion Dude, yes the pass was a brain fart,but his game was not poor.Won alot of 1 vs 2 aerials,some nice chest controls,played well with his back to goal. Once again I saw a City team with no midfield creativity,Giorgios made some nice runs and got no service.His outing was fair...not poor...thats my opinion. Bianchi did not look that great either,the guiy looked more like someone visiting the northpole..gloves turtleneck Hara sto paihti!!!!

Why the bitterness Ethnikistis, I understand most fans can not handle athletes who have TALENT and waste it. I saw the 1st half of Samaras last game, you said he was sub par, but in the 1 st half I counted 3 good runs and at least 3 perfect cross field passes to wingers making runs. I understand why we are upset because he is not scoring at a rate that we wnted, we are all longing for that # 1 striker....well N.Machlas was the last and unless M.Samaras wakes up from his slumber I don't like the others availabe. He has the best skill set from all available strikers like it or not! Man City offers no creative midfield play Barton is a kolopaido who can t serve the strikers. Either Man city cant scout but all their strikers have not filled the net. Lets all hope that he fulfills his super potential

He played a GOOD game,apart from his legs turning to jello on the tete a tete( if he had scored the stadium would have come down). He could have scored a 2nd header if not for one of his teammates crossing in front of him right befor he hit it. He showed the ability to swing crosses from both the right and left sides. Made some nice passes as well. Once that young frame fills out Greece will have an ACE striker. Now with both City strikers out with injury, he will get a ton of playing time. I believe he will be in the 11kada for OTTO along with Stelios as pseudo midfield/striker. Now I hope that Otto takes notice of him as well as Tavlaridis who is playing well in France.
