  8. Omonoia off to Switzerland to visit Basel, probably the toughest game on the schedule.
  9. Thrylos off to a perfect start in Europa so far, they'll try to keep it going in Frankfurt.
  10. Rumors of a sale of Omonoia, it sounds like Stavros Papastavrou is selling the team to John Christodoulou, who is worth even more money. Papastavrou bought the team a little over 3 years ago, and it has totally turned the team's fortunes around. Before that, the club was in financial ruin in its final years of fan ownership. Christodoulou was born in Cyprus, but fled with his family in 1974, only 9 years old, and his lived in the UK ever since. He's worth over 2 billion pounds.
  11. And who per chance are those best players who didn't play?
  12. Fair point. I personally am not like that. We played well today, didn't get the bounces, and Sweden punished our mistakes. And losing in Sweden is a reasonable outcome. Wouldn't be as painful if not for screwing up against Kosovo and Georgia.
  13. Look fellas, if you told me coming in when we saw this group that we would beat Sweden at home, lose in Sweden AND get at least one point against Spain, I would take it, as would most of you I suspect. Georgia and Kosovo, though, gotta be 4 wins there. Bottom line. We put ourselves in a tough position for no reason.
