Genome Posted August 9, 2007 Share Posted August 9, 2007 Decision on the 20th of August 2007 The controlecommissie (translated something in the lines of inspection board) of the KBVB has closed off the pleas in the bribe-case of Zheyun Ye. The case will now be analysed and the result will be known on the 20th of August. Goalkeeper Cliff Mardulier was the only accused to actually show up. Aside from Mardulier, other accused are (among others) Ninoslav Milenkovic, Hasan Kacic, football club K. Lierse S.K. and Paul Put. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Genome Posted August 22, 2007 Share Posted August 22, 2007 A decision from the court (more decisions are to follow): "Ye" Case: Lierse to third division, Put suspended The "Controlecommissie" of the KBVB has found guilty in the Ye-case concerning "gambling Chinese" Zheyun Ye: Lierse, Paul Put, Hasan Kacic and Ninoslav Milenkovic. They await a severe punishment. Cliff Mardulier was not sanctioned. The "Controlecommisie" has ruled in the Ye-Case. The Controlecommisie has proposed to the "Uitvoerend Comité" (Executing Comity) that Lierse -at the moment in second division- will be degradated to third division next season. If the punishment is confirmed by the "Uitvoerend Comité", Lierse will also have to start the season 2008-2009 with a handicap of six points. Furthermore the club will have to pay a fine of at least € 15500 (5% of the bruto incomes of 2004-2005). Lierse already announced that they will go in appeal against this sanction. Put suspended Paul Put will be suspended from the memberlist from the KBVB. This means that the ex-trainer of Lierse won't be able to work in Belgium anymore. Only after five years have passed, the trainer can become member again. Possibly the suspension will be life-long, if the KBVB keeps refusing to make him member again. Kacic receives harshest punishment Kacic will be suspended for two years. The sanction will also be passed to UEFA and FIFA and will possibly also count on an international level. Ninoslav Milenkovic, who plays for STVV at the moment, will get a year of suspension (on probation) with a probation period of three years. No punishment for Mardulier Cliff Mardulier, now goalie for Roda JC, did not get a sanction, because he "has already been punished enough" according to the "Controlecommisie". Because of the procedure he hasn't been able to play for 18 months. Delorge-Mitu not sentenced yet Possibly the other ex-Lierense players Laurent Delorge, Yves Vanderstraeten, Marius Mitu, Igor Nikolovski and Laurent Fassotte will still get a punishment, but they remain "safe" for now, as long as the civil court has not ruled yet.
