Celtic sign ex-Ger

Recommended Posts

Former Rangers striker Kenny Miller will become the latest in a very short list of players who have played for both sides of the Old Firm.

Currently with Wolves, Miller who started his career with Hibernian, has signed a pre contract agreement which will see him join Celtic on a 3 year deal in the summer.

The most recent player to cross the divide, via Nantes in France, was Mo Johnston in 1989. What made this matter even more controversial was Johnston being unveiled by Celtic the day before he joined Rangers. Gers boss Souness was alerted to the fact that a deal had not actually been signed despite the press conference, and he swooped, causing mayhem across Glasgow. Death threats were sent to Johnston by furious Celtic fans, while Rangers fans burned season tickets and scarves because the club had signed their first catholic player.
