JOHNNY
Inverness player manager Craig Brewster looks set to take over the vacant managers position at Dundee United following yesterday's sacking of Gordon Chisholm. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t..._ct/4599822.stm Here's hoping the big man can turnaround the fortunes at Tannadice, where all the pre-season optimism has rewarded with pathetic displays resulting in early exits from 3 cup competitions and a lowly league position. Too much pressure as he still learns his trade?
JOHNNY
It's official!! The Legend returns. Roll on Sunday's home game with Falkirk, when the underperforming players have got something to prove to the new manager. I don't think he'll play, but he may be tempted to give himself a place on the bench - just in case he's required. Once more, the Arabs have a spring in their step. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...tm#startcontent
JOHNNY
Just back from watching Dundee United defeat Falkirk 2-1 at Tannadice. New manager Craig Brewster watched the game from the director's box, leaving Billy Dodds in charge of the team, before Brewster takes charge tomorrow. A last minute strike from Derek McInnes saw United take their first 3 points of 2006, although the performance hardly merited the victory. The training field should be an interesting place over the next few days with fitness fanatic Brewster taking control of his highly paid and under-performing squad.
