JOHNNY
Celtic have just been knocked out of the Scottish cup to 1st Division Clyde, losing 2-1 at Broadwood, in one of the biggest shocks of recent times. Contrary to what you might expect, it was no lucky result: Clyde had 2 goals disallowed and a penalty saved in addition to their 2 goals. Celtic scored with 7 minutes remaining to set up an exciting finish, but Clyde deservedly held on to progress to the 4th round. The entire Clyde team was assembled at the start of the season, after releasing all players in the summer. Trials were open to anyone to attend, and are now reaping the rewards of a lot of hard effort. All players today, with the exception of veteran player coach Joe Miller, are 22 years old or less. Roy Keane made his debut today, and could not help a very poor Celtic side back into the game. At times he was absolutely furious with his teamates. It would have been interesting to hear what he had to say in the dressing room afterwards. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/s...ups/4584934.stm
