Kerr Posted November 8, 2003 Share Posted November 8, 2003 After the FIFA decision, Ortega asked the FB board to return to FB but FB board refused his request and demanded 11 millon dollars according to FIFA decision. Ortega said it's impossible for himself to pay 11 million dollars to FB from his pocket so he said the only option for him left is to quit football. I think everybody knows that Ortega cannot afford the fine, even the FB board. Therefore, Ortega will threaten to quit as that is the only vialable loop hole which would see him escape the fine, all-be-it at the expense of his career. As a result, he is hoping that the board play ball and negotiate a settlement fee with him....
