EUROBASKET FINAL

Recommended Posts

lets all remember that the dream hasn't been fullfilled just yet

we still have to beat Germany to be called Euro Champs

it will be a tall order to ask to beat Germany after beating France in back to back nights

but this is Greece were talking about here

and the one thing that has been constant with this team is Great defense and clutch shooting

and that will be the case tomorrow if we are to win

problem for Greece is Nowitizki but he is a problem for every team in the NBA as well

Dirk will play well because he has played many games back to back in the NBA

so endurance won't be a problem for him but i don't know about the rest of the players on both sides of the team

but Germany seems to depend it all on Dirk

he is basically a one man team and thats a key for Greece

Dirk will score his points lets just hope he doesn't get too out of control and if we can keep the other players in check it will be a key

they best way to probably guard dirk is somebody who may give up some height but his quicker then dirk to prevent him from dominating from the perimeter and then if he goes down low there must be quick double teams

force the other players to beat us

Greece has alot of heart and we will need all that and so much more to beat Germany

pame oli pame gia protathlima !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what radio station is streaming it?

just in case ert-sat doesn't show it

the game should be live on era sport links for all ert live channels (inc. ERT SAT) follows:

http://ert.ntua.gr/

By the way why is everyone in here hung up about Panathinaikos and Olympiakos when the only thing we should be talking about is our national team? After a very dissapointing champions league premier for both greek teams we should be looking at our national team AGAIN to make us proud. Money can't buy the passion and soul that a national greek team has so forget all your petty squabbles and think of one thing....

PAME GERA GIA MERES TOY 87!

Is there any sport that we are not good at? Bravo levedes for making Greeks all over the world proud, and proving that Greek sport is at its highest peak. Euro 2004 and Euro-Basket 2005 belong to Greece.

We still have the Basketball World Championships next year in Japan, but like the commentator on Antenna said the only thing left is Greece-Brazil in the World Cup Final, and this would be the ultimate victory. The past two years have been dream seasons for Greek sports . We have dominated the two most competitive sports, and have done it with style. Greek athletics can no longer be taken lightly because we have proven that on the international scale we are fierce competitors, and when we wear the blue and white we wear it with a pride that no one can match, and this unites us as even more as Ellhnes.

We are the second team in European history to win continental titles in both soccer and basket in the same reign (first was USSR - Eurocup in 1960/Eurobasket in 1961 and 1963/

its an amazing accomplishment to yet again dominate in a sport

winning this double has to be so sweet

were only the second team in more then 40 years to complete this double so i mean thats an accomplishment of itself

this win could also raise the popularity of basketball in Greece again

remember in 87 and 89 Greece went to the Euro final and that elevate the sport back at home

in recent years the sport in Greece has died down but this win sure does bring it back to its height

and Giannakis then captain now our coach is the only person to win the Euro title as a player and now as a coach

congrats to u for building this squad

lets also remember that Giannakis stated this is only the begging and this team has potential to do so much more

we are so far ahead in basketball then we are in Soccer

anywayz congrats once again

sikoseto the kipelo den boro den boro na perimeno
