last year wasn't it just called Super League? this year i see they have sponsored it by turkcell and if i'm correct the deal is for 5 years at 10 mill. /year, wonder where all the extra money is going B)

This year Anatolian teams and 4 big teams had a money sharing problem.Anatolians wanted more payment 4 bigs wanted to protect their paymment.And federation needed more sources to share them and sold the name of the league.And also sold the showing rights of th Turkish Cup matches.

Some Notes From The League So Far

- After four matchdays the number of teams that are so far unbeaten is 8 which is a record for Turkish Super League.

- Off-season prospect Genclerbirligi are still without a goal scored.

- The previous two season's most succesful "minor team" Denizlispor are rooted for bottom with 1 point out of 4 games.

- Following Rizespor's goalless draw with Ankaraspor there are no pointless teams left in the League.

- Galatasaray, Besiktas and Trabzonspor all salvaged their draws in the overtime. Kabze Hasan scored on 90+2 mins for Galatasaray, Ibrahim Toraman found a goal on 90+4 mins for Besiktas and Tekke Fatih scored to level terms on 90+5 mins in Malatya.

- After their one-game ban Fenerbahce played this season's first game in their home ground with supporters.

- Alex de Souza scored a fantastic overhead kick in Fenerbahce's 5-2 win over relegation-battlers Samsunspor.

- Newcomers of Super League Sivasspor and Kayseri Erciyesspor are still unbeaten and look in good shape as they challenge the top of the League so far.
