panatha_boy Posted April 30, 2005 Share Posted April 30, 2005 sportign played well, and earned the 2-1 win. parma, i think, should have won against CSKA, but dont get me wrong, CSKA are a good team. i would consider them as the dark horse in this race. they might just pull an upset against parma. however, my prediction is that parma and sporting will play in the final. if so, it will be a great final to watch. aiolosply Posted April 30, 2005 Author Share Posted April 30, 2005 I watched Sporting Lisbon - Alkmaar but was not impressed by the home team, not at all! Instead I was impressed by the fast and deadly counterattacks of Alkmaar. SL had the possesion (65%) but they never ended the chances they created.Awfull finishing and total lack of imagination in their game. On the other hand Alkmaar when counterattacked,tried to play a fast passing game but most of the time they were outnumbered by the SL players. This was "natural" since they played defensively throughout the whole of the game. My bets are on Alkmaar for going through to the final As for the other semi I haven't watched it, but I have heard that it wasn't that much of success, in terms of football.
