JOHNNY
The referee at the centre of allegations of match fixing in a German Cup match between lowly Paderborn and Hamburg has resigned. The 25 year old student, who has allegedly had recent contact with eastern European mafia, gave a number of controversial decisions as Hamburg lost a 2 goal lead, eventually going down 4-2. Paderborn were awarded 2 penalties, and Hamburg had a player sent off. A Paderborn player has claimed that the referee said to him at 2-2, "keep doing as you're as you are doing, and I'll take care of the rest". http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/4200673.stm
