Phantis
http://football.guardian.co.uk/breakingnew...3942791,00.html Organisers of this summer's biggest global sporting events, the Euro 2004 soccer championships in Portugal and the Athens Olympics, discussed security on Monday amid fears of a threat to their competitions. Both Portugal and Greece have requested the help of NATO to assist in securing the events against any "terror" attack, mainly with air and sea patrols. Last month's train bombings in Spain raised alarm bells with the organisers of Euro 2004, which starts on June 12. Twin bomb blasts in neighbouring Turkey last year forced Athens Olympics organisers to beef up their security plans for the August event. Public Order Minister George Voulgarakis met Portuguese Sports Minister Jose Luis Arnaut and Euro 2004 coordinating committee chief Vasco Lynce "to discuss matters of security for the Olympics and the Euro 2004,"
aaronaugi1
Who is to say that the Calatrava roof will make this architech so famous. If you ask me, Sydney's Stadium was easierly the best Olympic, and one of the best stadiums in the world, if not the best. Also looking at what Beijing has planned, Sydney and Beijing are going to wipe the floor with Athens, there Olympics are going to be a joke, worse then Atlanta. Best Olympics so far: 1. Sydney, Australia 2. Barcelona, Spain 3. Souel, South Korea 4. Melbourne , Australia 5. Atlanta, USA
