Blackhawk Posted April 28 Author Posted April 28 Olympiakos will have their title fiesta after the game. Hopefully we can spoil their fun and get a result and also hope for a tie or at worst a win by AEK in the other game. Current standings: 1. Olympiakos 69 2. Panathinaikos 56 3. PAOK 55 4. AEK 53
pash Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Was thinking about this earlier. So if we lose and PAO wins: Oly 72 PAO 59 PAOK 55 AEK 53 If we lose and PAO draws: Oly 72 PAO 57 PAOK 55 AEK 54 And if we lose and AEK wins: Oly 72 PAO 56 AEK 56 PAOK 55 Basically, the result to avoid is two PAO wins, which is out of our hands at this point. An AEK win isn't ideal (we want a draw in that game), but it leaves 2nd place wide open. Below are the possible outcomes. The moral of the story is that we could easily finish anywhere from 2nd to 4th. Getting even a point from Olympiakos will help a lot. PAO 62, 60, 59, 58, 57, 56 <-- W+W, W+D, W+L, D+D L+D, L+L, respectively PAOK 61, 59, 58, 57, 56, 55 <-- W+W, W+D, W+L, D+D, L+D, L+L, respectively AEK 59, 57, 56, 55, 54, 53 <-- W+W, W+D, W+L, D+D, L+D, L+L, respectively
Blackhawk Posted April 29 Author Posted April 29 In any case it's Olympiakos that will determine the final standings. If they relax on their fiesta day and we take advantage of it and then they give it their all against the hated rivals Panathinaikos we stand a GOOD chance for second place. The best scenario is: We beat Olympiakos and AEK and PAO draw. 1. Olympiakos 69 2. PAOK 58 3. Panathinaikos 57 4. AEK 54 That way we secure 3rd place and it's in our hands to beat AEK in the last game finish 2nd. As pash rightly surmised, PAO must not win both of their games for the 2nd place to be in play for us. The bad part is that if we are tied on points with either AEK or PAO we lose the tie-breakers in both instances.
Dutch Eagle Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Lineup: Κοτάρσκι, Μπάμπα, Μιχαηλίδη, Κεντζιόρα, Όττο, Μεϊτέ, Καμαρά, Κωνσταντέλια, Ζίβκοβιτς, Τάισον, Μπράντον. Bench: Παβλένκα, Βιετέσκα, Βιεϊρίνια, Σάστρε, Σβαμπ, Οζντόεφ, Πέλκας, Σορετίρε, Τσάλοφ Ref is Deniz Aytekin from Germany. He is known for refereeing the romontada-match Barça-Qatar SG. And he is the fifth German ref in the five play-offs matches so far.
Blackhawk Posted May 4 Author Posted May 4 Don't understand Lucescu's fascination playing Brandon in the playoffs. Just hope that does not mean he is going to be resigned for next season.
Dutch Eagle Posted May 4 Posted May 4 And Samatta is again an outcast it seems. Don't understand that too.
pash Posted May 4 Posted May 4 I would MUCH rather have Brandon start than Samatta. But Chalov should be the guy. It's so painfully obvious how much better he is than the others...
PaokCT Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Olympiakos playing a random 30 year old Greek goalie who has yet to see any minutes this year. They’re trying to give us the game

pash Posted May 4 Posted May 4 What a day for no streams to exist (so far). Tuning in to the radio now. Oh god please let us score three (which is what I bet on) 1
Dutch Eagle Posted May 4 Posted May 4 (edited) And there is their equalizer. Kotarski is catching air. Our defenders asleep as well. Edited May 4 by Dutch Eagle
