Omonoia9 Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 Coming off a great home win against Finland, now Greece hit the road for the first time against Ireland. The ethniki were able to beat Ireland both times during the UEFA Euro 2024 qualifiers. 3
Soprano76 Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 Ellas is a cut above Ireland, anything less than 3 points will be disappointing 2
PaokCT Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 Ireland will battle and make it difficult, especially at home. But if we play to our capability, we are definitely the better team. We need to win to continue our push on possibly dethroning England from the top. Also, a win here pretty much solidifies 2nd place is ours unless we piss it away. That would be a huge help in possibly entering the WCQ playoffs. 1
HellasLEAF Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 If we are a serious team we have to go in to Ireland and get the win. Absolute worst case scenario is a draw.
PaokCT Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 I'd argue a loss is more of a worst case scenario, but what do I know
Brklyngrk Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 Line ups are in - same as last time except for Tzolis for Pelkas (which most of us wanted) and Siopis for Mantalos (which most of us would agree). Chatzigiovanis is starting again and so is Bouchalakis. Only change I would make is put in delias and Zafeiris in. 1
Ellada2004 Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 I am glad to see Tzolis in the starting lineup. He deserves it! No Mantalos is also a positive move opting for Siopis.

J1078 Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 Rota is going to cost us.. he’s already given the ball away twice..

Brklyngrk Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 If anyone wants a link in the US, ViX is carrying it, it's in Spanish but the feed is good...
J1078 Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 Greece are so lucky right now. If they don’t make a change ASAP they are going to concede and this time it will count…They look terrible.. 1
Ellada2004 Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 Listless performance. Maybe it’s that crappy cold Ireland weather.
Ellada2004 Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 Konstantelias & Zaferis need to be subbed in.
Omonoia9 Posted September 10, 2024 Author Posted September 10, 2024 Shipping up to Boston to begin the second half. Irish culture and Irish-American culture becoming one 1
Ellada2004 Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 Finland are holding England 0-0. Come on boys!
