Transfer News and Rumors - Summer 2024

Some Turkish twitter account is saying that they're interested in Kedziora, which inPAOK is scoffing at. I wouldn't be so sure - everyone is assuming he has been in the Netherlands since yesterday, but I have seen nothing to indicate he actually is there. Hopefully I'm just being paranoid.

Sport24 is saying that the Belgians are saying that both PAOK and AEK are interested in Tarik Tissoudali, who is a striker playing for Gent.

Not sure why they'd want to sell him (and so he'd probably be relatively expensive). But looks like he had a decent season last year, with 21 goals / 12 assists in 51 games. That games number is a bit misleading as his minutes played (3,317) implies that he was a substitute for a big chunk of those games.

I thought we gave up on him about a month ago. We were going for him as a replacement after we sold Konstantelias.

Is this the same guy? Seems weird to replace an attacking midfielder with a striker. Either way, we have a need up there.

Filipe Soares is off to SC Farense officially. Looking at their lineup, if he can't get major minutes with them...he's a lost cause.

Some sites are saying Kedziora will be announced on Saturday (due to "procedural issues"), while others are saying he'll be announced today. Regardless of when the signing is announced, he is now officially a free agent (his profile on Transfermarkt has been updated), and is free to practice with the team, presumably as soon as today.

-edit- it seems we may have upped the payment on our end to 400k, to cover more of what the Ukranians owed the player. Seems reasonable to me.

Looks like Genoa has made an improved offer for Kotarski. Reports are that it is close to 8 mil, which is still short of the 9 to 10 mil that PAOK is asking for.

Kotarski "rumors" keep coming back and forth. Yesterday it was us rejecting 8.5mm for him. Today I am seeing that they asked to take him on loan for this season for 1 million, and then a mandatory purchase clause for another 4 million, for 95% of his rights. If that second one is true, the #s are truly insulting.

I'd think about that 8.5mm, assuming we have a replacement lined up. Especially if we've secured CL participation.

Probably a combination of the team not wanting to spend money until they guarantee Europe, and nobody wanting to come play for a team in Greece that might not be in Europe. It will always be an uphill battle.

Similarly, I would expect Kotarski to underperform now that he's attracted some Italian interest. Same exact case as with Shakhov - he'll take a pay cut to play for a garbage team in a more attractive league, probably. Don't be shocked if Konstantelias goes the same route. I think we'll lose multiple players by end of August - which is not in itself a problem, if we actually replace them.

Players will play anywhere the $$$ are put on the table.

We needed a left winger & a striker this transfer period.

We so far have signed camara as a replacement for Marco A and kept out squad.

Surely we can sign two decent players this week, it can be Ivan riding a horse holding a trophy be the image that sits in our head of this summer period

If it was that easy to attract players to the 18th best league in Europe, it would've been done by now.  Maybe if we paid Arab money but last I checked we ain't Arabs, we don't have oil and even Ivan the Great doesn't have that kind of cash.  To attract the players you'd like, we wouldn't have to pay overs, we'd have to pay over overs if you get me.  Maybe if we throw in a pic of Ivan on the horse that might get em cheaper.  You never know.

As for Marcos A, he barely played last season.  So I don't know what Camara is, but he isn't a replacement for a player that barely contributed.  If anything he was meant to add options to the midfield rotation but now that Meite is unlikely to stay I guess he's Meite's replacement.

Marcos A was on 1m ,he wage is now gone and we baught in Camara..

why dont we sign Giannoulis to put pressure on Baba?

why dont we sign a left whinger, as no way Taison will do what he did last season...

Going into a champions league qualifiers season with Samata & Brandon is just mind blowing.

Maybe Ivan should sell....

Or bring in a partner....

Last 7 seasons his made money from PAOK

We look to sell 20,000 season passes and all we need is 3-4 players to take us to another level and tipota...

Do you blame Razvan for being pissed?

(I blame Razvan for wanting to keep a team together that will be absolutely humiliated if they make it to the Champions League)

Hellooooooooooo, there is still 1.5 month left until the transfer period ends.

Martin Braithwaite is a free agent and apparently we made two separate offer to. One is 1+1 deal at 2mil and the other one 1.8 mil for 2 years. Also reports are that the player is talking with Everton.

That's the thing - I think we can make it to the UCL without more players. Brugge is better than most of the teams we might come up against. And honestly, we are unlikely to have any new signings play at this point anyway, unless they acclimate incredibly quickly.

I will remain paranoid until I see something that excites me. I just am lacking faith after seeing their preseason games.
