Draw was today all the way to the final.

Probably something went wrong with heating the balls as Pana drew Oly and AEK drew O Aris right away.

Anyway, we start in the round of 16. Later than planned due to some problemen in earlier stages. Opponent is Volos. December 5th in Toumba, January 10th in the Panthessaliko.

If we win the winner of Asteras Tripolis vs Panserraikos will cross our path. First away. Return in Toumba.

After passing that hurdle the opponent is the winner of Pana/Oly/Larisa/team 1. Team 1 is the winner of Panthrakikos vs Ethnikos Pireas VS Jouchtas vs Atromitos

NFC Volos? Or the other thirty teams with that name? Though considering what's going on with NFC Volos I guess I should be happy either way!

They forgot to fix the draw, or maybe not. It's no secret AEK currently controls EPO and "surprisingly" they had the best draw of the tp 5 teams. You read it here first. AEK will be one of the finalists.

What are your thoughts about the cup, guys? Must we try to win it or not? For the record: the winner (and not crowned as champion) starts in EL Q1!!!! First match July 11th 2024.

ECL or CL starts in Q2: 23/24/25 July 2024.

Silverware is nice; the reward not. And there could be some real big names amongst the opponents (other cupwinners or highest placed team in league without CL from nations 16 - 33 from the acces list). I'd rather prefer the ECL spot if we do not win the league.

It's not the worst thing that the EL has much better competition than before. I do think our goal should be to win it and not need that slot, though. I.e.,: win the league too.

I think we have a pretty deep bench (finally), so we should be able to make it through the first stages without a ton of trouble here. Focus on Europe and the league, but expect a deep run here regardless.

We definitively need to try to win every title we can. Even if it is just the cup. That's how you build the winning mentality, something that will be needed to win the league title again. Like pash mentions it looks like we are acquiring players to build a solid team for the next few years.

Thanks for spelling this out - I was trying to figure out the progression using the wiki and got an instant headache.

I agree that we want Olympiakos to win, in this case. A shame Panathinaikos just tied it (17 minutes still to play). We SHOULD make it to the semis without much of a problem.

Who knows, maybe Larissa will go on a rampage and we'll meet them!

So suddenly we play Panserraikos away on Wednesday January 17th at 17:00 EET for the round of 8 a.k.a. quarterfinals. EPO ordered it though the other round of 16 aren't played yet.

I noticed that on the app I use, as a "postponed" game. So much for us getting a rest, huh?

Bizarre, either way. Why are we a game ahead of everyone? Clearly something happened, but I can't for the life of me remember.

No more drinking pash!

The reason we are a round ahead is because the first legs of the Aris-AEK and PAO-Olympiacos ties were postponed at the request of the police because that same day Erdogan was visiting Athens.

Definitely surprised at the OFI loss...

-edit- Atromitos really putting up a fight today ?

-edit again- A VERY soft penalty given in pao's favor, which the goalie blocks and them ALMOST misses a subsequent shot. Fantastic result there (we're down to stoppage time). Stadium music started playing as if there was a goal there too, which just makes the 1-2 even sweeter. Let's see if Atromitos holds on.

-last edit- Atromitos wins this, 1-2

Looks like a good possibility for the following semifinal matchups:

PAOK - Atromitos
Panaitolikos - Aris

True, but I believe Atromitos can qualify. They already beat Panathinaikos twice this season and in today's game the officiating was 100:0 for Panathinaikos giving them a penalty for non-existing foul outside the box. Panathinaikos players were flopping at every slight touch. LeBron would be proud of them. Something we should keep in mind on Sunday.
