  • Blackhawk changed the title to ECL-PO-L1: FC Mydtjylland - PAOK (17-02-22, 19:45 EET)

First leg is important, obviously. We are on a high right now. They haven't played a competitive match since December 12th. Their last 4 games they only won one. I haven't checked if they have played any friendlies or have any injuries. The away goals rule is gone, so I think that helps us. We need to at least keep a draw so then a win at home will do it. Even a one goal deficit isn't terrible going into the home leg, as we will have 90 min to win by one to send it to extra time.

It wasn't only the 3 penalties. During the extra time there was a hand ball by Ajax player at the edge of the box that he did not call. That could have been the tying goal.

In other news Murg got injured during practice and we will have to see if he makes the trip to Denmark. It will be interesting to see the squad that will travel to Denmark, as they are waiting for tomorrow's covid test results.

Additionally, four PAOK 'B' players have been selected to remain with the 'A' team and will not play for PAOK 'B' team. Some of them will probably be included in the squad for the game against Midtjylland.

For sure. This would be my lineup:

------------ Paschalakis ------------
Lyratzis - Ingason - Crespo - Sidcley
---- Schwab --------- Tsiggaras ----
Zivkovic A. ---- Douglas ---- Mitrita
------------ Akpom ----------------

Mihaj had one serious injury a year ago and it's all you can think about. El Kaddouri literally can't stay upright for more than a week at a time and you'd give him your firstborn.

I wouldn’t trust Kaddouri with my first born. Warda on the other hand…

The fact that they are falling over like ballerinas and wasting time at every opportunity just shows that they are nothing special. That being said we are too slow and we will have no chance if we don't speed things up. Mitrita with the ball just outside their box decided to hold onto it much too long and ended up losing it. All he needed to do was give it out wide to Sidcley and we could have had a cross into the box.

After that first half performance, whoever is celebrating Ingason's new contract should really reflect on their life.

Pione Sisto is absolutely everywhere. Why can't we find a player like this?

In modern football you need to have speed. Not only physically but also mentally. You need to make quick decision on the field. Not holding the ball forever like Mitrita and Schwab did on few occasions.
