  • Blackhawk changed the title to SL1-R7: Olympiakos - PAOK (24-10-21, 20:30 EEST)

Might have to do the old 7 day trial with Net TV Plus for this one!

A draw will do at this stage for us, and I think Lucescu will set us up that way. Obviously a win would be great and I'm sure we'll get our chances but it's more important IMO we don't let them pull 4 points clear of us even at this early stage.

I think your comment presupposes that we're vying for the championship this year. I don't think this team is there yet, though they are slowly coming together. Ultimately I expect they're gunning for 2nd, maybe the cup, and to heavily reinforce in the winter in order to go into next season swinging.

But, who knows, a win in Athens can change expectations...

I would agree, but if we are close enough in January I can see us hitting the transfer market hard to bring in 2-3 players who can help us contend. (This has already been heavily rumoured)

Ultimately even if we don't win the title this season, you don't want to be out of it from before the new year. Stay in the hunt for as long as you can and then as we get deep into the season you never know.

As long as Lucescu is at the wheel I have confidence we will push to win the league this year, despite a poor summer transfer window, injuries as well our team being weaker than last year he has done a good job so far. Barring the Volos catastrophe, which IMO was more on the players than him, I can't complain about his coaching so far.

Doesn't look like we will get any returns from injuries/illnesses, but I think we will have a slightly different lineup compared to yesterday.

My lineup:

------------- Paschalakis ------------
Rodrigo - Mihaj - Michailidis - Sidcley
----- Esiti ------------- Schwab -----
Zivkovic ------ Augusto ---- Biseswar
------------- Swiderski --------------

But I think Lucescu will start Varela and Vieirinha

Squad:

So no Taylor, no Kagawa.
