Blackhawk
Good job. Too bad Filippidis missed the final. Could have been another medal.
Koro
Kyriakopoulou looked very good, I think she was the first Greek in a long time to win a medal at the WCs. Hopefully she can do the same thing, or better in Rio 2016. Tsakonas will probably be disappointed not to reach the final considering he ran a much better time in his first heat. Even though I doubt he would have won a medal, its still nice to see Greece being represented in the sprinting for a change.
Doxa
Koro his first heat was way better I think you are confused. But he is young I think he can get there. Much potential.

Antaeus7
In the upcoming under 18 World Championship in Nairobi, Kenya, the website has not posted the enter list of athletes. I will assume that Emmanoual Karalis will take part in pole vault after he won bronze in Cali, Colombia 2 years ago in the same event.

Antaeus7
I hope Pesiridou makes the cut, she has been in good form this season. Since July 2016 in Amsterdam. As far as Tsakonas goes in the 100m, I think he's better off not to compete with Bolt. lol
Antaeus7
It's official 21 Greek athletes will be taking part in the IAAF World Championship at London, UK. Pesiridou, Alexouli, and Gousin all make the cut, Keramida didn't.
Blackhawk
Filippidis is officially out of the World Championships due to his injury. On top of that he is suing people running OAKA Stadium (ie the government) for 480K Euro for negligence causing his injury.
Antaeus7
Here are my predictions for our Greek athletes MEN Tsakonas - Semifinalist (maybe could reach the finals depending if he can beat his personal time of 20.09) Douvalidis - Semifinalist (no chance of reaching the finals unless he runs better than his Greek national record of 13.33) Tsiamis - Won't qualify for the finals, getting old at 35 Karalis - Won't qualify for the finals, still too inexperienced at senior level Tentoglou - Could reach the finals (70% chance) but no medal Anastasakis - Could reach the finals (50% chance) but no medal Kyriazis - Should reach the finals and could medal (if he can throw better than 85m consistently) Papamichail - Won't medal WOMEN Belibasaki - Semifinalist (tough group and needs to run better than 22.76 to get to the finals) Pesiridou - Maybe could reach the semifinals (otherwise no chance at the finals unless she runs better than 12.93 PB) Vasiliou - Won't make it out of the opening heat Stefanidi - Will reach the finals and should medal Papachristou - Will reach the finals and could medal (only bronze is our hope) Alexouli - Won't reach the finals Gousin - Won't reach the finals Anagnostopoulou - Maybe could reach the finals (needs to throw better than 61.53m, 30% chance) Drisbioti, Rebouli, Zapounidou, and Privileggio will all not medal Edited August 3, 2017 by Molon Lave
Blackhawk
That's about right. I think we will get only one medal from the Greek athletes. It will come from our Olympic champion Stefanidi. After that probably 1 or 2 athletes will make the finals.
Blackhawk
Tentoglou only managed 7.79m in the qualifying. Not enough to make the final. He needed to jump 7.91m or more. In the meantime Stefanidi is sitting out all the heights so far. I think she will make her first attempt at 4.60m
