I honestly believe Dellas would do well with this current crop, as example now he went to karaiskaki (kypello) with a very average side and got a draw and took Oly right to the death and lost the tie in the last minute. His tactics, style of football reading of the game and game plans were very good. Sure he struggled at times but he didn't have the talent either that this squad has. Dont think it would happen now though.
Dava-G
Honestly, we were in the same chat room last year after Dellas pulled Simoes out of the match calling for his resignation. Actually, there are many parallels with last year in October after Karaiskaki... Edited October 5, 2016 by Dava-G spelling error
Original 21
Yeah, last year we played well for 60 minutes in Karaiskaki, we created a few chances, looked decent defensively and then we fell apart once Simoes came off because we lost the midfield. The difference is that Dellas had been in charge for over two seasons so firing him after that game wouldn't be as frown upon as firing Ketsbaia after 6 official games. Original Sydney
Only difference is Dellas has a very very average side where as with this crop he would do way better. You can't have Chrisantus as your go to man, if he had Almeida or Bakasetas different story. Add our back line now and he surely do way better than having Kolo, Lambro and Tzane. Original 21
Exactly, Ketsbaia has the best AEK team since 2008. He should be able to do better than this.
Nikod
The guy's a joke. It was obvious from the rematch with St. Etienne. No balls, no tactics. We need a modern manager. What a pity that Poyet left. He would've worked wonders with this squad.
Original Sydney
There are plenty of talented managers out there BUT we gotta choose the right one obviously and not be tight on his wage and his needs/requests
Dava-G
Doesn't matter what manager we get. One major loss and he would be axed. Sir Alex Ferguson would never have made it in Greece.
