So the big day is almost upon us, not really sure what to expect tbh.

I know St. Etienne finished 6th in the French league last season which is no easy feat however the French league is nothing to be afraid of bar PSG imo, however still strides above the Greek.

No real standout players from looking at their roster that I can see and no real goal threat much like ourselves, their top goalscorer last season was a midfielder Hamouma with 8. Robert Beri? and Oussama Tannane from what I read are meant to be decent.

Paul Pogba's brother Florentin Pogba plays for them at CB and seems to be a starter (32 games last season).

Not very busy in the transfer marker, they brought in Bryan Dabo who is a DM from Montpellier, and a left back for free,

Overall they dont seem that far better than us, maybe slightly.

I'd take a goal draw. The away goal is crucial.

I see Ketsbaia starting;

Yeah: Anestis, Galo, Didac, Kolovetsios, Chyrgyrinsky, Simoes, Johansson, Barbosa, Vargas, Mantalos, and Pekhart.

Now that I look at it its basically exactly what Dikefale posted above.

Couple half decent chances for us so far by the sounds of things, couple shots and we've had a corner too. Seems like we're holding our ground pretty well.

Simoes had a bit of a scary moment, seemed like he might have been injured but he continued.

0-0 HT

Started off shakey, then opened up and had a few decent chances, Mandalos' shot, and Johanssons header.

St Etienne came alive last 10 minutes and called for 2 penalties and had a good shot blocked by Anestis. Correct decision not to give the on penalty calls.

2nd half now

Bakasetas warmin up!

A good result, consideringr it was our first game back in Europe we held our own.

With a packed OAKA on our own turf hopefully we get the win! Add to that Almeida and Pastichio.

A lot of positives noted from todays performance!

BRAVO AEKARA
