AEK vs Xanthi

Original 21

Recommended Posts

Kourkoulakis doing his best to Xanthi the chance to tie.

Game over 2-1 win. We played 70 great minutes and the last 20 minutes we defended well.

Barbosa Labropoulos Aravidis Anestis Cordero and Simoes all played extremely well. Mantalos played one of his better games of the year, Vargas was invisible in the first half but made a great pass for the goal. Didac didn't play too well, Arzo was trash.

The Nova sport announcers sounded like they were going to cry at the end of the game. They plan didn't turn out as planned. I've been giving him a lot of s%$#!, but bravo Anesth! Very big win today against the corrupt league.

The ref made it as hard as possible for us to win but we got the 3 points and bravo to Anestis who saved the penalty especially after all the bagging he has copped he saved us.

Overall we missed too many chances in the 1st half, we need a striker ASAP the chances Aravidis missed shouldn't have been missed, this is the difference right now for us, we create plenty yet score one from 5.

As for the last 20 mins where Poyet tried to hold the lead it almost backfired on us as Xanthi came looking for the equaliser and were lucky not to get it at the end, I think Poyet needs to realise it isn't the EPL and sitting back and containing a lead may backfire against another team.

Lately we have had some shady calls go against us, this never happened to this extent when Adamidis and Dimitrelou were at the helm, things are getting worse each week, something needs to give.
