Akritis_1944
Thanks Dutch Eagle. I'm interested in how it plays out given the meddling of SYRIZA post the PAOK riot. Greece avoids expulsion from FIFA which is definitely a good thing regardless of what certain club owners wanted (Savvidis & Melisanidis especially). Original Sydney
Final 7th May is a joke if its confirmed to be that as it favours one team and one team only and we know who that is.
Akritis_1944
Is AEK playing in Europe around then? Not sure it matter when it's played as long as it's played. I don't care who wins either. Maybe Atromitos can win.
Original Sydney
No we have the playoffs starting, the semi's if you go by what is said wont be too bad as they are said to be played 20th April and 27th April, its the final that's a worry, I have seen dates such as the 7th May mentioned which is 3 days after the playoffs start, then I have heard the 27th mentioned which would be a bit better as the playoffs would be near ending then. But that would mean Oly wont play a game for over a month.
Akritis_1944
OK I didn't realise that the playoffs were during that time. You still have to beat Atromitos though.
Original Sydney
Playoffs are said to start on the 4th May that's the issue, the semi's ok fine we will manage as there are no Leagues games after this weekend and they are a week apart, but if the final is to be the 7th May we get 3 days rest after our 1st playoff match and Oly gets 10 days rest. If Atromitos does make the final then both have the same time rest. Yes we need to beat them and it wont be easy against them as they have given us a fight when we have played them this season and lately they have been doing well
Greekaroos
Should play the Greek Cup Final in Germany, Australia or the USA with a referee from that country. They would defiantly get a bigger crowd than playing it in Athens. Only problem it's too close to the play offs. A good marketing idea to lift the profile of the competition.

Blackhawk
Kseftila continues. Kontonis after police intervention postponed the Greek Cup Final. This also puts the Superleague playoffs in doubt.
Akritis_1944
Which also risks another ban. The idiots at SDNA endorse Greece's expulsion.
Akritis_1944
No ban formally announced but the reality is that a ban is always possible given that the government postponed the final. So until it's played and we have a winner the prospect of getting excluded by FIFA is always there.
Original Sydney
No one else to blame here but EPO for not assigning the assistants that were agreed. Kontonis and AEK are within their right to complain about this, everyone in EPO needs to go, simple.
Akritis_1944
I'm not defending EPO or the parlous state of Greek football but advocating a FIFA ban will be the death of professional football in Greece. We will be at the level of Monkeydonija by the end of the decade if this happens.
Original Sydney
100% agree Akritis, on AEKs part we have built a semi decent team, yes plenty of talent needs to be added but we do have some talent on our roster and to lose those guys now will be a real shame, other teams will also have this issue also so Grexit doesn't help anybody. EPO and Govt need to somehow come to an agreement, but what hope is there for that when the last agreement wasn't met by EPO?
Akritis_1944
"John Baker" is spot on. How do you achieve a clean sport without government meddling which risks sanctions?
Original Sydney
Very well said but how do they even attempt to try do something like this in a nation where anything goes?
Original Sydney
That's the major question, who actually has the balls to come out and attempt to make a real change and F*** off all the corruption and p*****es behind the scenes? We have seen people try and get shut down, others have tried and got nowhere also. Doesn't seem like is much hope BUT if the courts of Greece and Prosecutors actually grow a pair and start throwing people in jail for the s%$#! they do then surely 100% this will put fear in people to not F*** around so much as they will be made an example of, but it seems our courts and prosecutors don't have balls
RED SHERIFF
no one can run the government or pass and enforce basic laws... Greeks have what they want...a lawless unstructured society..
