Did some more research on the subject ...

For reaching the EL group stage we are getting the following:

€ 2,920,000 - for making the group stage of EL
€ 2,777,130 - coefficient payment (based on 5-year coefficient in UEFA standings)
€ 2,000,000 (minimum) - 5,692,130 (maximum) - market pool (based on how many Greek teams make the group stage

So far we have € 7,697,130 guaranteed

If we qualify to the CL playoff round (and lose) we will receive an additional € 5,000,000

In group stage we will also receive € 570,000 for each win and € 190,000 for each tie. If we win the group we will get extra € 1,000,000. If we finish 2nd we will get € 500,000

If by any miracle we make the CL group stage we will make a lot of money. We will revisit this if it happens.

Fine work. Thanks

Not too sure. If it were fixed, we’d surely get the away game. Plus Kyiv got matched at home with AZ. That’s a real difficult game for the Dutch.

One game scenario, we can do this. If we win we will be seeded in our next round though.

One game suits us, it'll be tough but we showed the blue-print in the Besiktas game. Defend and hit on the counter we have the pace to cause problems.

Also if we win we are playing Kransador in the play-offs, since Ukrainian and Russian teams have to be kept apart. UEFA will make that official tomorrow when they hold the "draw" for the play-off round.

As a reminder, the last time we played them (Tudor days) we drew 0-0 at home and lost 2-1 away. We are better than we were back then. And obviously if we can beat Benfica, we can beat Krasnodar.

You mean Benfica, Pash?

Edit: never mind this post. You mean Krasnodar obviously!

Worst possible draw. We are not qualifying to the next round. Dinamo Kiev would have been better, and Gent the best just to have a better chance to get our hands on the cool 5 mil.

I think we are going to this game with much weakened squad compared to last years matchup against Ajax. Youth enthusiasm can only get you so far.

I think we should just be preparing for the group stage of Europa League and hope for the best.

One game doesnt mean its a good draw for js! Its actually the worst possible draw!

Benfice has Jorge Jesus back as coach & have spend more money in this summer transfer period than we have in our history!

Tricky game, but to be fair probably our best chance ever to qualify for CL.  No Benfica or 020 this time around.

The Russian League is into round 7 so they are match fit, unlike Besiktas and Benfica.  For once it was the opposition and not us whose league started later and aren't match fit.  Maybe something for the EPO and GSL to take note of, the stooges.

Either way, even if we fall at the last hurdle (again) it's been nice to get some revenge on Benfica.  That just leaves 020, or any Dutch team for that matter.

For those of you who still may not have realised - that was probably the best chance we will ever have of playing in the CL groups. Starting next season there will be a UEFA Conference League. We won't even partake in Europa League anymore. I have no idea why articles and fans are saying how playing in the Europa League will allow us to accumulate points for our co-efficient. Not only will we not see the light of CL again - we won't even play in the Europa League unless we win the Conference League. It's all over, we are never playing in the CL.

We might be able to. They have 2 teams left in the competitions and after tomorrow it's possible they will only have one. We are going to the groups stages with 2 teams and possibly 3. Serbia in 16th place has only one team left. Our teams will need to do well in the group stages.

As for the Conference League i would not necessarily put the competition down. After all it might be an easier path to actually accomplish something in Europe. Something that no Greek team has never done as opposed to other countries. After all even teams such as Slovan Bratislava won an European title in the past.
