pash Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 I figure this would be a worthy new topic - somewhere we can talk about our players in regards to their national teams. I'll start things off by noting that Kace just scored in a friendly vs France with a terrific free kick.
pash Posted June 14, 2015 Author Posted June 14, 2015 ^ I thought he was banned from our national teams??? Or was that just Pozoglou?
pash Posted June 14, 2015 Author Posted June 14, 2015 Mak started today vs FYROM in their 2-1 win, looks like he played the whole 90. Stoch was there as well, but on the bench.
Blackhawk Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 ^ I thought he was banned from our national teams??? Or was that just Pozoglou? It was Donis and Pozoglou, but they were reinstated.
Blackhawk Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Five PAOK players will represent Greece in the U19 European Championships finals that will take place in Katerini, Veroia and Larisa in July: Nikos Vasaitis Timotheos Tselepidis Stylianos Pozoglou Efthimios Koulouris Panagiotis Deligiannidis
Dutch Eagle Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Christian Noboa is eliminated with Ecuador of this years Copa America. Ecuador finished third in group A but was the worst third placed team.
Akritis_1944 Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Yianko, Ninis has probably regained his form and deserves to be back with the Ethniki. He's not the player that was injured and awful when at PAOK. He's the best midfielder Greece has at the moment.

Pontos Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 (edited) Under 19's first game in the euro championship against Ukraine next week. We've seen glimpses of Koulouris and Pozoglou who obviously have talent but I'm looking forward to seeing Deligiannidis who we rate highly, perhaps Tselepidis and Vasaitis can get some gametime too. pash Posted August 28, 2015 Author Posted August 28, 2015 Kitsiou and Tziolis have been called up to the NT. I believe this will be Kitsiou's first call-up? Very pumped about Stelios making it there. It was written in the ethniki thread that Torosidis is suspended due to an accumulation of cards; it seems that Kitsiou's biggest competition for that spot now is Vyntra. Surely Tsanas won't play him over Kitisiou? Who am I kidding, this is a foregone conclusion. Anyway - the kid definitely has what it takes. Strong, fast, loves getting forward. Can defend better than Holebas. Would probably take a few caps before he is settled down and comfortable though; something tells me people will get impatient.
Bananas Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Great news. The kid is only 21. Hopefully he gets a chance to show his ability.
pash Posted August 28, 2015 Author Posted August 28, 2015 I think he's currently still injured, the timing is pretty unfortunate
Bananas Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Pelkas looks to be the "real deal". At only 21, he has plenty of time for the Ethniki and if he keeps improving, I'm sure he'll be selected.
Blackhawk Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Pelkas is injured. He might get his chance eventually. Well deserved call up for Kitsiou. I would also give Konstantinidis a try if I was the NT coach.
Akritis_1944 Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Lol. He's had a few shaky moments but surely he'll improve.
pash Posted September 4, 2015 Author Posted September 4, 2015 Even if Kitsiou spoke Russian and had never seen a soccer ball, he'd probably still have made a better impact than Vyntra.
pash Posted September 5, 2015 Author Posted September 5, 2015 That silly lung usually overpowers his serious spleen.
