PAOK International Players (National Teams)

I think June 30 and December 31 are the standard contract ending dates and I assume it applies in this case as well. One think I am not certain though is if the sweet UEFA money goes to the club that is lending the player to us.

Douglas Augusto might not be available for the first European qualifiers. He will represent Brazil at the Olympics as one of the three >23 years. I hope Brazil will be eliminated as quick as possible.

Augusto cut from the Brazilian Olympic Team after sustaining injury. He returns to Holland to train with PAOK.

Biseswar should be a starter for Surinam in tonight's CONCACAF Gold Cup game against Jamaica. The game is available on Youtube as well as several US cable/satellite channels (TUDN, Fox Sports, etc.)

I was taking a look at their recent call-ups yesterday. Surprisingly good team. Must be due to all the Dutch players that can now represent them without issue. Should be a fun game to see.

Biseswar was pathetic, and I don't see him securing a spot at PAOK when he gets back. Having said that though I think he was one of the better Surinam players. At least in the 2nd half that I saw.

If he wants to have any chance to compete for PAOK he will need to shed some kilograms as well.

Just watched the Surinam - Guadeloupe game and it was an entertaining affair. Surinam managed to squeak a 2:1 victory (their first ever in the CONCACAF Gold Cup). They played almost one hour with a man advantage after a Guadeloupe player was sent off. Biseswar played ok. Technically he was probably the best player on the field, but he is clearly out of shape.

The most exciting part of the game was in the 92nd minute after a nasty foul on Biseswar which resulted in a bench clearing affair and several cards being handed out. It looked like Diego might have sustained a serious injury, but eventually he got up and walked away on his own.

Swiderski scored the second goal vs San Marino (he started the game). A Lewandowski sandwich. Still only 23 minutes into the match so expect many more.

Meanwhile Greece looks as terrible as always. Tzavellas is a joke.
