pash
Panathinaikos won vs Botev Plovdiv, 2-1. I wonder if their fans are panicking as much as ours?

However they will be knocked out in the next round as they will face FC Copenhagen.
Blackhawk
Embarrassing loss for AEK in Armenia in Conference League. Even the Armenian goalkeeper managed to score in the game. See the highlights:
pash
And yet AEK is "favored" to win the league and PAOK is looking singularly terrible...
Dutch Eagle
AEX managed to get eliminated by the mighty FC Noah, like we were eliminated by in the past by ... (fill in a club). So they will not have the excuse of fatigue this season. Not good for us and not good for Greek football/coefficient.
Dutch Eagle
And Banik Ostrava almost did the trick, @Blackhawk. Won 1-0 today but lost on penalties (scored 1 out of 5, though Copenhagen were not that great either with 2 misses out of 4 attempts)
Blackhawk
Watched the game. Banik was the better and should have qualified, but in penalty shootout, when you completely miss the goal on three occasions you don't stand a chance of winning.
pash
Lot of games currently tied on aggregate. Borac, Panathinaikos, Shamrock. Really coming down to the wire here.
Dutch Eagle
7 penalty shoot outs in Europe today. In two of them (so far) the keepers needed to take one penalty. Panathinaïkos lost one of those PSO's against 020 after 17 penalties each (with Ingason missing his). They have a hard draw in ECL PO against French side Lens. Probably the gavs and us will once again be the only contributers to the coeff.points of Greece.
Athens4
They really should have beat them on penalties. What a waste.

With Russia and Ukraine not in the picture anymore all we would need is 2 or 3 solid seasons and 12th spot is attainable. The countries just above can be caught. After seeing the most unlucky draw Panathinaikos got I thought oh well, at least 3 teams will make it Europe ... not so bad. Then they go and lose to FC Nobody who have a stadium like you see for suburban teams.
Dutch Eagle
Pana lost at home to Asteras. 0-1. Atromitos, the club of former PAOKtzides, drew 1-1 against O Aris. Amr Warda scored from the spot.
PaokCT
If we had Warda we’d be in champions league
pash
I can see the headlines now. "Greek team banned from all future international competitions due to 'mass-groping spree' that lasted two weeks and crossed three borders." 1
Dutch Eagle
Oi vazeles managed to conceed already in the fourth minute and to conceed another while Lens is one man down after a red card.
pash
They're currently down 2-1, 5 minutes to go. Might have just drawn a PK though. Would be huge for them if they get it -edit- no PK, which is the right call tbh Edited August 22 by pash
Dutch Eagle
AEX dropped 2 points at home against Lamia and only avoided defeat by scoring in '87. Atromitos, our opponent in MD 3, saw two players been sent of with a red card today. So again a team with suspended players in the game against us.
pash
I have a vague memory of seeing something about this a few months ago, but it seems Panathinaikos is playing in OAKA this season. Their attendance in their last match was apparently ~6500 people. Is it possible they're losing money by playing at home? That stadium can't be cheap to rent. Dutch Eagle
Pana fans are pissed according to what I read and hear. And fun thing is that their stadium is used by Kallithea....

pash
Panathinaikos fans have another reason to be pissed; they have drawn again (this time vs Kallithea). Too bad next week's game will be at home; I feel this would be a good time to take advantage of the ugly atmosphere among their supporters...
