Lazarus
From the English edition of Kathimerini: "A court decision, announced on Wednesday morning, that dissolved the temporary administration of the team, led by Lambros Skordas, leads Aris to the resolution of its professional soccer club. That means the Yellows will now feature in one of the groups of the third division, following the path chosen last year by AEK Athens." Read the full story here How sad... A bad time in the history of a team that has offered us countless memorable moments, thrills and great players! Good luck Aris. Hope to see you back on top soon! Ethnikos
Devastating to see Aris spending another year in 3rd division. Unlucky, because they have the hardest group in Gamma Ethniki with teams like Kavala, Panserraikos, Doxa Drama... Hopefully they can pull through this year. Akritis_1944
The rebuilding has started. Just signed Andreas Tatos, Raul Bravo, Dounis among others. Anastopoulos as coach. They'll be back soon and for the benefit of Greece.
Akritis_1944
Yeah it's a big step backwards when you consider Tatos was once signed by Olympiakos and was selected for the Ethniki too. These guys clearly believe in the direction the new board has. Aris are historically a big club and if Iraklis can remain in the top division there will be 3 strong teams in Thessaloniki which means more derbies, better crowds and a stronger league. Original 21
The guy that runs Aris also owns Veria and is apparently trying to sell Veria to a group of foreign investors so he can focus on running Aris... Let's see how that works for him.
Blackhawk
Aris is run as an amateur side by the Erasitexni Aris. They just awarded the management of the soccer team to Karypidis a self proclaimed Olympiakos supporter, which basically means that Aris is on its way to becoming another farm team, which also explains the influx of old Olympiakos based players and coaching staff. There is a civil war going on within Aris with all kinds of weird decisions by the erasitexni board. Last weekend they voted and awarded the management to Nikos Arvanitidis, the son of the previous Veroia owner, only to kick him out and replace him with Karypidis. Prior to that they voted to kick out Alex Kalas, who has been funding the team most of the last season. If and when Aris makes it to Football League, Karypidis will have to make a decision about his ownership of Veroia, that's why he is supposedly negotiating with some Chinese management company to take over Veroia, so he can legally own Aris, when they become a professional team in Football League. That's unless the board does not vote him out during the course of the season. Never a dull moment in the ongoing saga of Aris Thessaloniki.
Ethnikos
It will take time but Aris will return strong. They have a nice stadium and Reaper says that it may be enlarged^^^. They're a popular team in Greece with a huge fan base. Panathinaikos should just drop to Gamma Ethniki because they're absolute garbage. Follow the footsteps of AEK and what will be a Superleague Aris. Also I wouldn't mind him selling Veroia to Chinese investors. They could do Veroia some good with a little money. Blackhawk
And it was all downhill since. A lot of people got rich being part of the Aris front office.
