DUDE Posted March 21, 2008 Share Posted March 21, 2008 Demi is right that it's a long process and you can't work magic, but I don't think he always helps the situation. Sacking Ferrer was a typical "Greek" move, and one that hasn't helped the club. The fans have to be patient though. AEK is improving year by year, but so is PAO and Oly, so the league may take time. I'd like to see AEK sign a couple of cheap but quality talents for next season, players like: Aloneftis (Cottbus), Zurawski (Celtic - on loan @ AEL), Georgallidis (Omonia), Roy Carroll (Derby), Konstantinou (Olympiakos), Branislav Ivanovic on loan (Chelsea), Giannakopoulos (Bolton), Brian McBride (Fulham), etc. Are all examples of players that would reinforce AEK's squad for cheap. The man was an AEK player, loves the team and has an AEK tattoo. :o I would rather have Demis as prez and third place than tzigger and second... I was at the recent AEK-PAO derby at OAKA in the midst of 45,000 AEK fans. One word sums it for AEK and fans: Respect! Best of luck in Europe next year.
