DKSat
For consumers looking at their video, broadband and phone options, a publication well known for its ratings on consumer products and services has recommended a telco video platform. In its February issue, Consumer Reports promoted FiOS from Verizon as the best option for consumers looking for internet, television and phone. The publication said the fiber-supported offering received superior scores for reliability and performance for its set of services. As for other multiplatform companies, DIRECTV scored significantly higher than all major cable companies as well as small dish competitor DISH Network, said Consumer Reports. Satellite TV also received high marks for its hybrid bundles of TV, DSL and phone service from phone partners like Qwest and Verizon. As for cable companies, Bright House Networks and Cox were on top of the Consumer Reports MSO list. Cable overbuilder WOW also received kudos for its offerings. In terms of internet access, WOW and Bright House, along with Cincinnati Bell's DSL product, topped the broadband list.

I know that one is for TV's you have to have a receiver per tv set or a digital tv with a smartcard slot....
len
drako, here is a detailed description of what is done for a fios install from a guy in a mass suburb. It may be slightly different depending on your location, but they are essentially going to have to run new cables from the main lines to your house.
