  1. Pavlidis actually showed me why he got selected today, and I could see him succeeding. He plays a a good false 9, where he keeps his back against the goal, receives the ball (with a good touch) and lays it off to the wingers. I’m not sure if this is the coaches intention but I think it could work if he puts an actual left wing in there. Limnios and Pavlidis has a good thing going in the first half.

bakasetas penalties (in both games) were horrible.. wayyyy too close to the keeper. You can’t play it too safe with the penalties. However, we should have won this game regardless of the penalty.

happy to see vlacho in goal. Considering our defensive selections we’ve been enjoying several clean sheets. While playing a more attacking football than we have in the past

bouchalakis was more effective in the sidelines... he Was just doing everything but the right thing..

Not a great game, but I’m hopeful we can beat Slovania

Mantalos passing is killing us right now. Glad to see vlachodimos in goal for a change. I think this team struggles with teams worse than them because while we do have a weakness in creating opportunities these small nations fill their box with defenders adding pressure to our attack.

I feel like against better nations (that don’t park the bus) we will be much better at creating chances.

I just hope coach not fielding players such as  fortounis as a starter  Is just him allowing younger players minutes and confidence. Fortounis should definitely be a starter on this team.

I’ll put my foot in my mouth now for that goal from mantalos

  4. The right back lambropoulos was horrible, very low energy on defense. I was watching him on the second goal walking towards the ball handler in the box. I understand that this is an inexperienced team, but the one thing I expect from our young players is intensity and hustle. Both goals came from The left attacking flank. Also koulouris didn’t get much playing time but the little bit he did was mess up several fast breaks.

loved the goal series Limnios pass to fountas to fortounis.

also not a fan of Dioudis in goal. His every goal kick resulted in a turnover of possession. No significant saves that I can recall... for the love of god why does he refuse to play vlachodimos.

I feel like coach should have an idea of who he will be playing regularly by now but it seems like we are Still making a lot of changes to our line up. Consistency is also important in building the team chemistry.

  5. Tsimikas actually started in the game against Lincoln city. It was a blowout win for Liverpool. Tsimimas seemed nervous to me. Didn’t play bad though. He was making safe back passes for the most part. He had one or two good crosses into the box. No notable mistakes really. He needs to build confidence. I imagine he may be feeling a bit of imposter syndrome.

  6. Team played just as I expected them to with that line up.

I don’t understand why JVS didn’t use all his subs and why he made them so late considering the team probably lacks some fitness after the break.
What is Masouras going to do with 6 minutes of play.. We could have really benefited from fortounis as well.

Very strange tactics from the coach.

on the bright side some very impressive individual efforts from players like Limnios and bakasetas.

I’m not talking about it that way. Of course if they have been there a long while and have made their life there I agree. I’m saying in a sense I don’t want international soccer to turn into a money machine. And have people buying players and giving them citizenship in order to play. A kid that’s been raised in Greece from Kenya or wherever is fine. His roots have been planted. I’m saying ksenous. There are plenty of good young Greek players that deserve a chance. That I think will help before they go looking elsewhere. Anyway I’m at work boys. I’ll miss the game but logging off cuz I wanna see it as I have my son taping it. Go Greece!!!

What about a child of Greek parents who has lived abroad and doesn’t even speak the language. ie. holebas

  8. I support the coaches decisions and I’m enjoying seeing us field such a young line up full of hope. However I am still concerned that we are not fielding our best players. I wonder if he’s still exploring the depth of the roster before he actually fields his ideal team.

  9. A lot of talk about him making a move to Ajax. They really want him over there as they suspect their current keeper Onana will be departing at the end of the season.

vlachodimos is having a great season on the other hand comparable to some of the best goalies in Europe in regards to number of clean sheets and percentage of shots blocked

This captain Stafy is getting the required respect atm, if any Mykonos fc players were to actually come into the future squads, that may well rock the culture again. Thats the chance that we need not risk. Think Retsos, Hatzi Stafy and Siova instead.

That s%$#! he tried to pull on Pukki had me pulling my hair.. I don’t understand why he thought to flick the ball back over the most inform striker in the group... I like stafylidis but he is not the CB Greece needs. And we really need an aerial threat in this line up which should atleast come from the CBs

  11. So I’m the only one who was a bit annoyed with Masouras game? That miss drove me nuts.

Pavlidis had a quiet game in terms of goals but he does a good job as a target man/ false 9 receiving the ball at his feet and feeding the wingers.

limnios had a hell of a game today needless to say. Incredible precision on the pass to Masouras and great position and attacking runs. Unfortunately the wingers don’t get the best angles for shots.

mantalos was also “okay” today. I’m missing fortounis but we can expect to see him return in January I believe.

would have liked atleast one more goal, but I will take the away win any day!

  12. I think we’re getting head of ourselves. We had two good games. Two entertaining games. Change has not necessarily taken place yet. We could go in tomorrow and lose 10 zero and be back on our BS. The team needs atleast 6-7 games under this coach for us to say we’ve rebuilt. Last stretch could just as easily have been a fluke. I’m excited to see what tomorrow brings

  13. I was really enjoying some of our passing game va Bosnia (I finally found the game on ESPN) who would have thought.

mantalos was serving up some good passes too, I’d give him some credit. Bakasetas too!

my biggest and maybe only disappointment was koulouris missing a wide open shot on goal with the goalie on the ground. I know it’s a lot of pressure but YOURE WIDE OPEN
