NGL i'm sure the soccer team at the HS I went to could probably finish mid-table in SL2 lol.

Was hoping for Volos and Levadiakos to go down this year. It seems like my xorio's team in the 5th tier has more fans than either. Coincidentally, my xorio's team won promotion for the 4th tier (first level of the EPS Fokidas) this year lol.

Overall, his tenure was a mixed back but the double in his first year makes it more of a success than failure, IMO.

Isn’t the situation with Pena so odd? Like why sign the guy and proceed to not play him.

A club legend. Also what a surprise that the last time this thread was active there were talks of his departure back in 2020! 5 extra years is a long time.

Absolutely pathetic. I read somewhere that Karypidis was looking to bring in more Greeks?
Also, whatever happened to that supposed stadium renovation lol

Another season in the books. Certainly not a disaster, but definitely a step back from the title-winning season last year. The team did not capitalize on its momentum and unfortunately the striker signings were a bust.

I should have read the sub-forum title more carefully!

Back in the Super League after a 4 year absence. Happy to see as Larisa are one of the few teams with a fanbase outside of the big 4.

It doesn't matter that much but how Greek is the kid? I'm ok with someone like Karetsas since he clearly has a lot of ethnic pride but not sure if that's the case for someone like Allen.

PAOK making their fans proud!

13 mil is an utterly preposterous fee for a player of his caliber lol

Olympiakos is out. Zero - I repeat - zero wins in 12 matches this European campaign for the Reds.
Aris the only team to win this season (against the mighty Gomel).

The Greek league has certainly had a step up in quality. I think the 9-12 range is a realistic place. Of the countries ahead of us now, Czechia can be realistically surpassed at some point. Turkey was below us at 22 just a couple of years ago, so they can be a bit volatile as well. Other than that, not sure if one could expect to compete with the likes of Belgium and the Netherlands.

What's the story between Omonoia proper and the Omonoia 29M club? Isn't it a group of fans that essentially split off from them main club?
-
I’m posting in the transfer thread given the rumors surrounding the player. The way Tzimas’ development has been handled by PAOK is a joke. Guy is apparently not good enough for the Superleague but Liverpool is interested? Oh well.
-
Martial has been doing really well. Lamela and Strakosha have been a bit more meh from what I've seen.
-
They are way too reliant on El Kaabi (El Kavli lol) for goals
-
Greece has made huge strides the past 3 years, they were all the way down to 20th and now up to 12th with a good shot at grabbing 11th.
