Cant blame them really can we? Cold weather, covid and JVS are three things worth avoiding.
But it’s been this way throughout qualifying even dating back to before Covid

This is insane: https://www.sport24.gr/football/ethniki-elladas-kopikan-molis-1-388-eisitiria-me-to-kosovo.9424730.html
how does this get corrected? It’s embarrassing

Ok, so if you sack JVS, who do you hire? Who can you hire? That has to be part of the fire-the-coach equation…

Spinning this ahead, what is our lineup for Euro 24 qualifying? We’ve got some bright young players

put alexandropoulos in !
Next game I hope

This qualification was doomed by the ties vs Georgia and Kosovo. Greece did enough against the big boys to at least have a shot

Greece didn’t play poorly today. Unlucky on the penalty. I think we’re clearly headed back in the right direction…

Georgia - Sweden is 0-0 at HT
What does this mean, if anything, if this result held (or even Georgia pulled off the upset) for Greece's WC qualifying hopes?
-
Who is Greece gonna be missing?
-
Who do we expect to get the callup for this one?

Vlachodimos
Baldock Manolas Mavropanos Tsimikas
Alexandropoulos Galanopoulos
Masouras Fetfatzidis Tzolis
Douvikas
this would make for a great team
No kidding, I would love this team (although Fortounis instead of Fetfa?)

Greece were to call up and start the best players at every position, ages 30 or under, what would that lineup look like? Can even include potential future eligible players (like Baldock, etc…)

Little bit of a tangent… if Greece were to call up and start the best players at every position, what would that lineup look like? Can even include potential future eligible players (like Baldock, etc…)

I agree 100%. If we want the best for the team then we need to play the best players possible. I’m sick of past coaches playing limited players. Santos did it with Vyntra and Katsouranis. Skibbe did it with Tziolis and Tzavellas and now JVS is doing it with Bakasetas and Stafylidis. I don’t think Skibbe is better. They are propably level. But I appreciate JVS in trusting some of our youth. I have mixed feelings. I don’t know if he should stay or go. If he goes then we’ll propably get someone similar to him. If he stays then who knows what will happen. Will he learn from his mistakes? He didn’t learn from the nations league.
Bakasetas was not the problem. He was one of the main reasons we even had a shot

I really hope Greece keeps JVS. He has the Ethniki headed in the right direction.

What really needs to happen is for the coach to go. He hasn’t learned anything and continues to give this team no plan or strategy on how to break down teams. This LBs at CB have to stop and so does Bakasetas and a few others have to leave the team. The only way this could happen is if the coach leaves. This is what happens when you don’t play your best players.
Last thing we need is ANOTHER freaking coaching change

Despite the loss, encouraging performance. This is why you have to take points from Georgia and Kosovo though

Other than Tsimikas, who under the age of 27 needs to be starting no Matter what going forward?
