Losing Karagounis, who even started off the bench multiple times near the end, must have had a huge influence as a player. As soon as he went, the Ethniki Collapsed into a re-building phase, lets say.
Coinsidence? Anyway, it would of served Greece well if Santos phased in generation next, on multiple occasions, leading up to World Cup 2014. I know this has been mentioned a lot.
It has taken this long to get some sort of good teamwork on the pitch, resulting in a win and a draw in hostile conditions recently.
The re-building may not be over yet. Greece deserves to be fighting in the Euros! The attitudes of many of the players don't deserve to, and they are not. The successful Santos age didn't invest near enough for this failed Euro campaign. I won't rest on the idea that we just didn't have the talent this time 'round.

Ranieri did this year what Van Gaal and Pelegrini couldn't. Wow,what a supercoach. It showed Hellas's players just refused to pitch in.
-
Second stricker, speed and skill with some height and can play right wing and cf.
-
To keep picking Tzioli, Skibbe has not got enough trust in Tachtsidis and Samaris as vision-passing type players, to play together as dm's. They would play as one at dm, while the other is at cm. They won't both be dm. Skibbe wants more experience in that zone, and he views Tzioli, unfortunately as one of these, although his passing game is not great quality. At least Petsos is still 22 years old, as is prospective Kourbelis, who must be picked in the squad, and trusted to do what he knows.

Looks as though Marios Oikonomou, Thanasi Papazoglou, Apostolos Vellios and Dimitrios Diamantakos are in the squad. So is Alexandros Tziolis.
-
Bakasetas could be a possible second stricker, setting up say Mitro or Vellios. Is Mantalos injured cause I'm sure he is not in the friendlies squad?
-
Now that Georgios Samaras has joined Rayo OKC, of Oklahoma, having left loan club Al Hilal, he can come into calculations if he can string together good football showings.

Someone asked me about Hatzipanagis and Charisteas the other day, I said they were fine. You do want the Ethniki to win Ethnikiman, but it seams you think the opposition might be abit too much of a challenge. Might well be, we will see.

Hey man I'm not a so called god that doesn't take criticism, I have no beef with anyone on here brah. Go Hellas!
-
Umm, Roly Bonevacia said A League is superior to Eredivisie. lol, I'll take the opinion of an experienced player of both leagues over euro-snobbery. Owned.
-
Red, I wasn't going to tell anyone, but you finding Olympic Hellas attractive is not right. Anyway, watch for Kerem he will lift Iraklis to a new level of goal scoring.
-
Sounded like the whole stadium was booing.
-
Imagine Vellios alongside Kerem Bulut up front @ Iraklis. Bulut is going to explode into action soon, the new Vasilis Hatzipanagis.
-
Totally agree, hope pro/reg happens, though it is an MLS kind of model atm. I feel Greek first but have embraced progress too.

It's blatantly obvious there are older ex-NSL supporters of teams like Sydney Olympic or South Melbourne that find the new A League as plastic, cause these and other teams were not seen as the way to go forward in this new league. A League is a whole of Australia approach to soccer, I even like Sydney Oly, but majority population didn't buy into NSL, so other sports continued to get the largest slices of the pie with sponsorships, tv revenues and supporters. So it is more important FFA make Spiro and Con happy and keep Olympic and Melb Hellas, Branko can be happy with Melbourne Croatia being in and Giafancalo who supports Marconi Stallions of Italian background all representing Australian soccer. Play matches with no lighting or at places like king tomislav park.
Residents in Aus need to keep buying into the new A League as it is still tough, yet is making strides with all it's challenges in this market.

Don't ignore the issue F***ers, it's the match everyone wants, ahead of any other teams. Don't deny this moment of truth.

That is the latest. Interesting match-ups and final scores. Bring on that shite. This should wake some up from a coma.
Fortounis v Luongo, Mitropanos vs Cahill, Tzioli/Pirlo v Jedinak, Pelkas v Leckie. Anti Australian posters on forum v pro Australian posters on forum etc.

Oly first Oly 1st Oly no.1 Then, AEKara, and Panionionionios. Maniati's influence on Oly, on and off the field is remarkable. Pao would need Ranieri to get them near the top this season.
-
We have had experienced players that are seasoned at some draws and many losses. Need to keep investing in players that are peaking, with a good blend of youth and experience. That means currently no-one over thirty except Oresti.

Whilst I was doing a couple of helicopter turns to a Mitropanos song, it occurred to me that our defence when on song, with Manolas,Kyriakos and Sokratis on the pitch @ the one time, why not go 4 3 3 seeing it is more attacking and yet these defenders are talented enough, with Holebas with them, to defend so well. They may not be far off from their mojos as a unit.
The 5 3 2 formation would mean the Jackson five, would have to run more to send passes to the mids, then the front third, which would get less service when they must adjust to a higher line often when required-na poume. Then they adjust to a 3 5 2, and lose the ball and the opposition wingers run around the back three.
Toro would need a Taxi if he does any box to box stuff-pardon the pun. The idea of Oresti being the eldest is the way to go. Bravo Lazo!

The Supercoach has done it again! Leicetser City sit at the TOP of the EPL ladder. Not long ago they were at the foot. Ranieri with players that want to play, has shown his class again! Goes to show what experts we all are, ah ha ha ha.
His current players don't own mirrors or curl brushes and are banned from smoking cigars and telling girls they are national team players and post selfies. True facts!

Toro and Holebas will be 33 & 34 respectfully in 2018. There is a need to be phased out in the next 12-18 months. Need young players to be able to run all day. Toro has slowed down now. They must join Moras, Vyntra and Tzioli out of the squad. Only Oresti as a thirty something should stay for alittle longer.

Your a good brother Reaper. I'm wearing your Germany jersey.
-
Ethniki can be original and go for a 4 1 1 1 1 1 1 formation. That'll confuse the Cypriots. You can't have 3 at the back with ageing Holebas and Toro. Better off phasing in Staffy and Bakakis. B)
