  1. What? Leicester 7 points clear at the business end of the EPL season? Ethniki need a coach like this, oh, we did have that coach. What if the so called star players didn't buy in. Nah, lets blame the coach, it's easier.  Claudio's doormat must be blue & white.

  2. I really hope Skibbe brings to these shores Vellios, Karelis, Fortounis, Mantalos, Pelkas, Vellidis, Oikonomou (the other Oikon), Kaltsas and Petsos, along with Mitro, Oresti, Stathi, Manolas, Toro, Holebas, Samaris, Taxi, Tzavellas, Stafylidis and Siovas No-one over 30 except Holebas.

  3. Look, players should keep aspiring to play in the EPL, Serie A, Bunders and La Liga. If they are not contributing at that level, they may as well be in A League. No major advantage being in Serie b, Championship, Evedivisie or even Swiss.

In the earlier days, not that long ago, it was imperative for players to go overseas cause there was nothing good enough here. Now, there is credibility here. Tough getting in those top 4 leagues. Sometimes you count your losses and play in the A League. Works wonders for Mooy.

This kid Ikon you guys are talking about has been overseas for ages.

  4. It seems that coaches have been preferring  more imposing or physical looking guys like Fortounis for AM position. This must be why Ninis,Fetfa, Mantalos and young Pelkas don't get a go there. Rightly or wrongly mind you. Samaras comes into the equation in this case.

  5. Nasl's ceo says his comp is the equal, if not better than MLS. That would have it at Serie B, Everdivisie Chinese league standard then. IF Giorgis shows consistency again, he could play as second striker/AM role for Hellas. He does see himself as an out & out stricker anyway as he has said so years ago. Fortounis can go further back and have more room too. Fact that we cannot get

around is, we had a wealth of experience in the last world cup, which was successful.

  6. Every country goes through re-building ofcourse. Some hardly struggle, others take a while to get back to it. The young guys in Hellas would aspire to succeed due to the poverty I would imagine, like South American youngsters do. I hope they know their futures aren't at coffee shops chasing skirt, cause skirt won't go with dreamers, only with guys aspiring and seen to be going forward.
