Cimirot will be making 400K per season. He will wear jersey number 16.
Antonis will most likely sign tomorrow. Still waiting for some paperwork from Sydney.
-
Nothing to report yet.
-
Completely different lineup in the second half:
Glykos, Skondras, Malezas, Pouggouras, Tzavellas, Savvidis, Maduro, Jairo, Mystakidis, Deligiannidis, Salpiggidis
-
Looks like the Antonis signing is a done deal. PAOK will pay Sydney 500K. PAOK also told Antonis that he is guaranteed to be on the team until January 2016 in order to prove himself. His contract is set at 200K per season.
The Toivonen rumor has also re-surfaced again. Would be a good signing in my opinion.

The most annoying thing is your teams throws players out that are actually pretty good. Maduro, Pereyra, Loukas, Noboa... For what ever reason ... it's a shame.
Even if all those players are good as you say, but if they have no intentions of performing for you and in some cases the only reason the came to Thessaloniki is to go bar hopping, than there is no reason to keep them around. That's why all these new young players that are coming to the team are hungry and ready to prove themselves will perform much better than some of those primadonas. Arnesen has started the re-building process, and the results will not be instant. It will take couple years for the team to become a great team. I only hope the fans and Savvidis have the patience for the team to be built.

MATCHUP: P.A.O.K. Thessaloniki - Brondby IF
COMPETITION: Europa League - Playoff Round - Leg 1
DATE: 20-August-2015
TIME: 20:00 GR (17:00 GMT, 12:00 CDT, 03:00 AEST next day)
CITY/STADIUM: Thessaloniki - Toumba Stadium (28,703)
REFEREES: Alberto Undiano Mallecano - Roberto Diaz Perez Del Palomar, Juan Carlos Yuste Jimenez (All Spain)
TELEVISION: Nova Sports 2 (Greece), Canal 9 (Denmark), LAOLA.TV (web stream)
The last obstacle before reaching the Europa League group stage is the Danish side Brondby IF. They are a much stronger side than the previous two teams we faced in the competition so far, but they have not been doing very well in their domestic league. They also barely qualified over Omonia. PAOK players will need to be focused in order to achieve the qualification. This first game at Toumba will be the key to our success. For starters we need to stop them from scoring and then convert one some of the chances that we create (are you listening Mak?) This is only the second time we will face a Danish side in Europe. The first time was in 1977 in the Cup Winners Cup against Vejle BK (2:1 at home and 0:3 in Denmark) -
After 3 months, Superleague certified last seasons standings, which after the Kerkyra punishments means that Levadeiakos will stay in the Superleague and will not be relegated. If the standings were certified shortly after the conclusion of the Superleague, the according to league rules, the 3rd team from the Football League would have been promoted, and Levadeiakos would never be allowed to stay in the Superleague. It is certain that this was the reason why the final standings were not certified sooner.

The Cimirot signing will most likely happen tomorrow. PAOK will supposedly pay over 1 million Euro to Sarajevo, and 400K per season to the player. If we do sign him, I expect Maduro to leave and would not be surprised if Kace is sold.

EPO and the current team is nothing but a big bourdello, and I don't see anything changing for the better until the current EPO leadership leaves the office.

From what I understand, Arnesen has been talking to Cimirot's team for a while now. At one point in the negotiating process they were close to a deal. At that point several managers got involved and the price skyrocketed to 1.4 million. That's when PAOK ended negotiating and announced that they re no longer interested.
Yesterday, the FK Sarajevo owner came to Athens to negoatiate with Atromitos concerning another player, and he invited Arnesen for talks concerning Cimirot. That meeting has finished about an hour ago and according to a report on Metropolis radio a deal is very possible. PAOK is offering 1 million (500K now, and 500K in installemnts), plus a percentage to Sarajevo for resale of the player.
Also reported is that PAOK is thinking of signing Antonis as well and then loaning him to Veroia.
I think the bricklayer rumor is just that, a rumor. I don't see that transfer happening.

The other reason why Rats/Golasa/Pereyra are on the list because the team has the option to replace on e player on the list 24 hours before the first game. Obviously if they decide to replace somebody, it would be for a players that is not in the plans. There is also the remote chance that any of those 3 will be asked to rejoin the team, but that's very unlikely.
-
The other reason Antenna might not pick up the Superleague games is financial. Antenna is having major financial problems, and they have been laying off a lot of people in Greece. They might decide to just stick with the Greek Cup games, which they will show this upcoming season.
-
The 'B' list is comprised of players from the teams academy. I believe it's some kind of UEFA requirement. As you can see there are players on that list that are not even on the team right now.
As for the Golasa/Pereyra/Rat is concerned. I can only think it's a strategic move by PAOK in case those players want to go to FIFA concerning their contracts.
-
According to rumors, we will sign two more players, and both are apparently higher caliber players that from what we go so far. One of them is supposed to be a center back. We shall see.
I also think that few more players will be leaving the team. One of them will most likely be Maduro, and would not be surprised if the other one is Salpi.

Why not sign Rajkovic who is still a free agent?
Because he does not want to come to PAOK/Greece. If by August 31st he is still a free agent, he might change his mind, but by that time I think it will too late.

Right now the international rights are under negotiations. On Wednesday Superleague will decide if the international rights will be awarded to Forthnet (owners of Nova sports). The other bidder was TAF Sports, who held the rights in the past, but it appears that all the Superleague teams except PAOK are leaning towards Forthnet. We will know more on Wednesday.
Now what does it really mean as far as the coverage in USA/Canada/Australia? My speculation is that if Forthnet gets the rights, all the games, except for PAOK's home games (unless PAOK changes their stance), will end up on Sport Plus. I base this on the fact that last season Sport Plus carried a lot of Nova Sports programming. If that happens, I would have to conclude that Antenna will no longer be showing Superleague games.
As usual the situation will be cleared at the last possible moment.

If Jairo (or Rodrigues) is a good finisher, Mak is sure to feel nervous.
As well he should. I just don't believe some of the sitters he misses. Tudor should make him stay an additional hour after practice just to make him improve his finishing.

Welcome Ikande. I believe PAE PAOK came and official said that they are no longer interested in Cimirot. Could be a negotiating move though.
-
We are going to have a difficult time advancing if we don't get some players, and 50-50 refereeing.
-
No Vitor, No Skondras and also not all the players that left of are pushed out of the squad.
Why no Vitor? How many games was he suspended for? I assumed it was only one.
I agree with bananas aboul Olsen. Bad call by the ref. If anything it should have been an offensive foul.

There is change in Blackhawks list of possible opponents.
Guimaraes of Portugal just lost to Austrian Altach.
As Guimaraes would have been seeded their place will be taken over by the highest not seeded team, in this case another Portuguese team: Belenenses.
SCR Altach has a coefficient of 5.135
I think there will be two groups of seeded and unseeded teams of 5 and two groups of 6. Tomorrow we will now.
Yes, Altach suprised Guimaraes.
The draw will take place at 13:00 CET. Here is the final list of possible opponents:
Rosenborg Trodheim NOR 11.875
Qarabag Agdam AZE 11.500
Hajduk Split CRO 11.200
HJK Helsinki FIN 11.140
Atromitos Athens GRE 10.880
Zorya Luhansk UKR 10.533
Molde FK NOR 10.375
FC Thun SWI 10.375
Astra Giurgiu ROM 9.759
FK Jablonec CZE 9.325
Dinamo Minsk BEL 9.135
MSK Zilina SVK 8.750
FC Midtjylland DEN 7.960
Videoton Fehervar HUN 7.950
Brondby IF DEN 7.460
Vojvodina Novi Sad SER 6.275
SCR Altach AUT 5.135
Rabotnicki Skopje FYR 4.675
Milsami Orhei MDA 3.750
Odds BK DEN 2.875
Gabala FK AZB 2.750
FC Kairat Almaty KAZ 2.575
Prior to the main draw the teams will be split up into four groups. Two groups of 10 teams (5 seeded/5 unseeded) and two groups of 12 teams (6 seeded/6 unseeded). A team will be drawn only with a team from the same group.Teams I would like to avoid are Rosenborg, Molde, Jablonec, Brondby and maybe Zorya Luhansk. I would also not like to travel to Azerbaijan or Kazakhstan, although both teams should be easy to beat.I think we will end up with Hajduk Split or Dinamo Minsk.

I think Salpi will stay and eventually be forced to retire. I doubt there is a team that would want him. Maduro will probably go, and Tziolis will stay as a backup. I don't see Tzavellas going anywhere either. I still think Kace will be sold, but it all depends if PAOK extends his contract right now. Kace is free to negotiate with any team in December, so we need to sign a contract extension in order to get the best price for him.
As for the cup pash think it's still the stupid format from last season.
Concerning Stoch. He might want to come, but he is still a property of Fenerbahce, and I don't think he will be released. More likely another loan deal, but I don't think that would be in PAOK's best interests.
