From what I read, Arnesen had a talk with Salpi last week and told him that him and Savvidis want him to stay on the team, but that his playing time will be very limited. Apparently Salpi still wants to compete and be a starter, instead of just sitting around collecting a paycheck, so it was decided that he leaves the team on friendly terms.
It would have been nice if the split was planned better. After all he has been a very loyal player, who with limited technical skills managed to have a great football career at PAOK, Panathinaikos and the national team All through hard work and dedication. After all he is PAOK's third all time scorer, and the only PAOK player that won a scoring title in A Ethniki. Also he is the first Greek player that scored in the World Cup.
Thank you for your services Dimitri.

Cimirot out for 2 months.

Are PAOK people going to be mature enough to understand this decision, or will it be like when Pablo Garcia was not wanted and PAOK people ridiculously lost their s**t?
Sadly at least 50% of PAOK fans were overjoyed that this happened. It's the 50% that hated Salpi to no end, with the team suffering as a result. Obviously Salpi can no longer compete on the level that is expected of him by Tudor, so it is probably for the better that he is leaving. Not sure if he has any future in any other teams. Good luck to him.

Here is my projected television coverage. The team split is basically the same as last season, except for the new teams that were promoted from Football League, and PAOK who is left out.

PAOK has declined to sign the deal between Superleague and Forthnet and is kept out from the package. Remains to be seen if they negotiate a deal on their own. If Superleague let's PAOK back in the collective agreement, they will go to the Sport Plus package.
Teams in bold are confirmed.

Here is their contact page. Good luck getting a reply.

I think the rights were divided in two. Sport Plus has 8 teams and they are showing their games. Forthnet is probably trying to sell the other 8 (minus- PAOK who will not be televised by anyone) to somebofdy else. Remains to be seen if it is going to be Antenna Sat/Pac. They are probably holding out for a better deal from Forthnet.

Qose is not with the team. Not sure if he is even on the U20 team.
BTW you are missing Mak in your lineup pash.
-
Because his performance for the money he is getting has been average at best, and if he does not want to give his best effort it might be better if he goes.
-
I ordered from them in the past. Their service and the merchandise was quality, but as you note it is overpriced, including high shipping rates.

Popovic has been officially loaned to Panserraikos for one year. Reports are that his contract will also be renegotiated and extended.
Apparently Arnesen is talking to Costa's agent in order to cut his salary, which is currently the highest on the team.

After yesterday it is 99.99 % certain we will make the Europa league group stage. This should have been one of our goals this season. Any additional progress in Europe this season will be a bonus.
It's quite important that we once again make the group stage. Five times in the last six seasons that we made the group stage. This can only be good for our UEFA team standings, which translates in being seeded among the strong teams in the European competitions.
For next season we will lose the points from the 2010-2011 season, which was our 2nd best in the last 6 years. That's why we need to accumulate as many points as possible this season in order to offset the poor 2012-2013 season that will still be on the books for 2 additional seasons.

General thread for PAOK (and non) forum fans to talk about anything that's not related to PAOK.
I'll start.
On 8/20/2015 at 7:35 PM, BostonThanatos said:pash, new gyro spot opening in Roslindale soon. Huge PAOK fan is opening it up...we gotta go support.
You guys have any gyro places in Boston that serves pork gyro? We have none in Chicago. Had to make a stop in NYC to get one on my recent trip to Rhode Island.

5:0 Mak again

Goal Mak 4:0

We need to keep a clean sheet. More important than scoring another goal.
-
Let's not also forget that five players that we picked up in transfers are not playing today.
-
Rodrigues 3:0
-
Veri good half by the team. Could have easily scored two more goals. Couple more in the second half and we are all set.
-
Beautiful goal by Pelkas.
