After today's EPO decision, the situation is as follows:

Today's meeting between Kontonis and the bif 4 was cancelled, when Marinakis informed Kontonis that he is not showing up. Once the snake heard this, he showed up for the meeting. Savvidis travelled all the way from Russia for the meeting and was pissed off that it did not take place. If I was him, I woul tell Kontonis and the other clowns to not bother him again.
-
BTW originally we received a 6 (3+3) point deduction, which was a result of a punishment for two separate incidents in the game. In the end EPO combined the two and gave as a 1 point credit, resulting in 5 points. What a ###### joke. PAOK needs to appeal this decision. I think in the end we will end with -3 points (I hope).
Can someone remember what happened in the two games against Kalloni and Panionios in order to deserve 2 game bans? I don't remember a thing.
-
Here it is in detail:
1 game ban, 6,000 Euro fine for the cup game against AEL Kalloni
1 game ban, 6,000 Euro fine for the cup game against Panionios
3 game ban, 100,000 Euro fine, and -5 point deduction for the cup game against Olympiakos
TOTAL: 5 game ban, 112,000 Euro fine, -5 point deduction
-
Oh BTW Jairo re-injured himself during practice today, so we don't know when he will be back.
-
Both NT games (Montenegro/Iceland) will be televised live in Greece by OTE Sport 1 HD.
The Montenegro game will also be shown on Arena Sport 3 in the former Yugoslav Republics, while the Iceland game will also be televised by RUV Sjonvarpid in Iceland.
No coverage of both games anywhere else as far as I know.
Also the U-21 game against Albania tomorrow will be broadcast by the Albanian channel SuperSport 2.

Four players are at the yellow card limit, and will need to get carde in the next two games so they could enter the playoffs clear:
Klaus and Leovac have 6 cards and need to get carded in the Panionios game so they can sit out the last two regular season games
Cimirot and pelkas have 3 cards and need to get carded in the Panionios or Levadeiakos, so they can sit out the last game of the season. Cimitor is injured, so I am not sure if he will get the chance to do that.
-
Just like with any area of the world, Greece has beautiful women, but also ugly ones. One turn off for me with Greek women is the excessive use of makeup.

NEVER B)
I don't think Cimirot will be ready for the game. Kitsiou is available, and I expect him to play over Skondras.
-
On Thursday, Savvidis will have a meeting with Marinakis, Melissanidis and Kontonis to discuss the future of Greek soccer. Alafouzos is boycotting the meeting. Should be interesting.
-
Jairo should be ready for Panionios. Mak has one more games left in his suspension. Berbatov should be ready for the last two games, and he will be needed, because Klaus needs to get a yellow card in the Panionios game, so he can sit out the last two games and then be clean for the playoffs. By the end of the season most if not all players should be ready for action.
-
The Football League games are streamed legally on Laola1.TV. That's why the quality is great. Same with the PAOK Superleague home games and Greek Cup games.
-
I don't think they will take 6 points from us. I think it will be 3 points. There is also a chance that AEK will get deducted 3 points.
Additionally, Panionios and possibly Giannina might not receive a license to play in the playoffs, so it could really become a big mess.

Was eager to know which players we would like to scout from the match Paris FC-Metz.
I saw a name that made me laugh very loud. Hope wo don't sign the sub from Paris.
Well it's not the gamias we are after. Rumors are we are looking at the attacking midfielder Yeni Ngbakoto. What I fail to understand is that we are going after players, even though we don't have a coach for next season. Have we not learned anything from the last 4 seasons? What kind of F*** logic is that?

After Round 27 results, AEK has mathematically secured a spot in the playoffs. Panathinaikos will lose a spot only if the lose all their remaining three games. I also think Tripoli and Levadeikaos are pretty much out of it. With that in mind:
STANDINGS AFTER ROUND 27

The big test is our next game against a very good Panionios team. That's where we will see if we have turned things around.

Well the hearing was last Thursday and the verdict es expected by the end of this week. My prediction is that it will be -3 points, 4 to 6 games in empty Toumba and a a massive monetary fine.
-
We must not lose to Panionios and win our last two games an we will be ok.

Nothing for the next European season, where the only chance for automatic CL place is if Borussia Dortmund wins the Europa League.
It has big effect on the 2017-18 season. Right now we are in 14th place and Czech Republic is in 13th place and Sparta might help increase the already large gap.
The way things look right now, it will be almost impossible to crack the top 12 in the standings, which guarantees automatic CL group place in the next 3 to 5 years.

FIFA, after a complaint by EPO, gave Kontonis the Undersecretary of Sports 2 weeks to reverse his decision to cancel the Greek Cup or face disciplinary action.
Let's see if Kontonis has the balls to stick with his decision, or we will see a big Comaneci kolotoumba.
-
Well U-21 already lost to Hungary and Portugal (big time), so any chances of qualifying are probably gone.
Other PAOK international call-ups:
Dimitiradis - U19 team (Will play in UEFA Euro Qualifying tournament in Spain)
Antonis - Australia
Sabo, Mak - Slovakia (Friendlies against Latvia and Ireland)
Rodrigues - Cape Verde (Africa Nations Cup game against Morocco)

A great big welcome to you Klaous! To all guests - please feel free to join us. Blackhawk will protect you from me.
You all better behave. B)
BTW welcome to our forum Klaous. Tell us more about yourself. Where do you live and how did you become a PAOK fan?

Ivan didn't even make a proposal. All PAOK did was inquire about the availability of the Karatasiou site. From what I understand it's just a plan B if the refurbished Toumba is not reality.
Johan Cruyff: 1947-2016

One of the greatest players of all time, Johan Cruyff, died of cancer today at the age of 68.
Player for Ajax and Barcelona during his best years, as well as the great Dutch national team in 1970's. Later played few seasons in NASL, before returning to Holland to finish his career at Ajax and Feyenoord.
He was a heavy smoker and died of lung cancer. He apparently smoked 5 packs of cigarettes a day. Heard Antoniadis on radio today saying that during the Wembley final in 1971 he saw Cruyff smoke one cigarette after another on the bench during half-time.
Cruyff at Toumba in 1973 with Koudas.
